Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

Disney's Faux Movie Back-Lot Hollywood Pixar with a Star Wars ride Studios Park.

Disney's There Used to be Fun Stuff to Do Here, Now it is Lame with a cool Tower and Star Wars

In all seriousness, I've always been partial to Disney's Hollywood... or something to that effect. The Studios concept is just stupid IMO. The best parts of the park are all heavily themed to a Hollywood that never truly existed.

Agreed. Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard are awesome. So beautifully designed. The rest is just... I don't even know. I think that's where Universal Studios is stronger. They don't have to theme lands that only pertain to Hollywood, such as New York, San Francisco, and soon to be London.

The queue, facade, loading area/launch area and unload all look fantastic. Yes, some of the interior things during the main coaster portion aren't that great, but some are, such as the highway signs, the Hollywood sign and the doughnut.
I wouldn't call flat black light cut outs great..... The Paris version however...

I think a good re-branding for the park would be "Disney's Stuff to do Islands of Fun". First, it could attract confused tourists who think they are going to the park with Islands in the name that has lots of good rides. Secondly, the theme of "stuff to do" would be easily achievable.

How about "Mount Ridesplace, USA"?

Not bad considering the fame of the WDW mountains. However, you lose the "confused" Islands of Adventure tourists. Of course, they may be trying to do this anyway with the "Hairy Potter" ride.

I stole mine from a web comic. Of course, it could be combined, like "Disney Mount Ridesplace Adventure Islands of Fun in Hollywood"

I never said they were all great. The palm trees look awful, among a lot of other things. But the Hollywood sign and the donut look good. Maybe it's because you actually go through them...

I thought the entire idea of the Hat was to give the Studio's a new Identity after the MGM fiasco? I happen to like the Hat, as is. Just saying...:)

The hat has nothing to do with the MGM naming rights and Grauman's Chinese Theatre has zero affiliation with MGM. The theatre was chosen as the facade for the Great Movie Ride because it is a historic movie theatre in Hollywood. Furthermore, there is no trademark on the Chinese Theatre facade and there was no legal reason for Disney to block the view of it. The beautiful view down Hollywood Blvd. was ruined for no other reason than to create a marketing ornament for Disney's "100 Years of Magic" celebration. It remained in place for no other reason than good old fashioned cost-benefit analysis from executives.

Sticky this and put it somewhere prominent. Also, points for "marketing ornament".:)

I would buy that! I would tune in to a prime time special showing it being imploded like an old Vegas casino as well, and promise to give business to the sponsors of the special.

The prime time special concept cracks me up. "And now, for a very special celebration at Disney's Magical Hollywood Park of Wonder that has no Relationship with Metro Goldwyn or Mayer, which will quite literally, blow your lid off."

They should make them into pins! Canadian Parliament buildings did that when the changed their copper roofs. Cut the old copper into maple leafs and attached a pin to them then sold them. They could cut the fiberglass into mini hat pins!
