I wonder if Disney genuinely cares about details like that anymore or if it will be 'just good enough.'

I'd give greater odds to a chain saw turning the palms to mulch and nothing or a token twig replacing the proper sized palms.

I remember all the trees from the Square to Main Street along with the Cherry Trees through the Hub. The trees were all part of the scale that made the Castle 'Pop' in forced perspective. Now there is a Castle without the forced perspective. If Disney gave up caring about those details at the MK I wonder if they will give care to those details at the Studios? Disney just seems to be in a 'anti-tree' mode this century.

I really, really, really hope this inflatable icon stuff turns out to be the joke that it sounds like.
I'd take the hat over a series of Macy's parade balloons. As terrible as the hat was, the thought of a series of cheap blow ups coming back to block the same view we raised hell about for all of these years is much worse IMO.
I really hope this remains a message board joke.

I heard on these boards the reason Disney was discontinuing Baymax's M&Gs had to do with the costume and issues with it. Would be quite interesting if DHS became known as the park with inflatable issues.

And I've heard so much about this "inflatables" thing so much I'm starting it get a little worried.. I keep hearing "giant Olaf" which would fit right into the "rotating inflatables" rumors, makes me nauseous.. I know they would be up and down and in and out but just screams CHEAP to me..

Boy, this is a VERY thorough refurbishment of the hat! It's so good to see Disney spending the money to do things right... this way we can enjoy the hat for another 30 years! Does anyone know if it will be put back together in time for my trip in November?

That seems to be unknown.

One spire was made retractable for Sorcery in the Skies finale. Maybe it jammed and instead of fixing it they just removed the other three.
