Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

Does anyone here know what the heck Bee B-ate is? It's the hinted "inflatable icon" after Moke Moke, again, whatever the hell that is.

BB-8 is the globe shaped droid from the new Star Wars movie... I think having an inflatable balloon for Star Wars Weekends where the hat once stood could be cool, as long as they deflated it afterwards.

So if it does turn out - as suggested above, that the hat isn't going to be replaced, but the area will be used for a series of temporary inflatable icons, that could be a nice solution. It sounds like the approach used on the empty plinth in Trafalgar Square in London where for ages people wondered what would be built, and eventually they just used it for rotating art sculptures, never there for more than a few months at a time.

If Disney used the area to promote the big summer/winter movies with big balloons, then took them down after a couple of months so that the theater was the view most of the time, I could live with that, and the hatites would like it too, so if they *have* to put something there other than flowerbeds and benches, that does sound like the most bearable option I've heard so far.

Walt and Donald might be more period appropriate.

I really, really, really hope this inflatable icon stuff turns out to be the joke that it sounds like.
I'd take the hat over a series of Macy's parade balloons. As terrible as the hat was, the thought of a series of cheap blow ups coming back to block the same view we raised hell about for all of these years is much worse IMO.
I really hope this remains a message board joke.

I didn't believe it at first either but think about it, why commit to one thing that will never please everyone when you can utilize the space to showcase what's "Happening Now" at the newly christened Disney's Studio Kingdom?
