The only place the hat deserves to go is the Kinsley landfill. Open it up one last time and dump it in.

I dislike the blocked view but don't really hate the hat, per se. I wouldn't mind seeing it moved, just so long as it isn't blocking the view of something.

No other permits have been filed so far related to it, but there has been plenty of speculation in this thread about where it could go.

Me too!!! I guess my dislike for the hat was because of where it was located, as opposed to the Hat itself. Although it probably won't happen, I wouldn't hate the idea of relocating the Hat on another piece of Disney property...

I have never understood the hatred against the hate - I think it is beautiful. The placement was always a problem because it hid the chinese theater. But lets be real here - with HS getting a makeover - I suspect they will put something else in its place like a permanent stage.

Just drove past Studios and noticed a very large crane on site. Don't know what it's for but maybe hat removal?

I even recall that at one point during the construction, the "ring" was shown on the paper park maps since it was like that for a while and was an obvious, visible marker in the center area of the park.

Potentially the exterior of the GMR may be altered in the future.

Well, it would give them something to celebrate! I know I will raise my glass in celebration when I see the first piece coming down.

@marni1971 , you are making me both nervous and sad to here that a change may be in store for GMR and the Chinese Theater facade. What you are talking about is blue sky or close to being green lighted?
