It's not happening. The Mickey ride will use the same ride system and be screen heavy. If GMR won't be there and it's possible, I'm for it.

AK just give it new characters exclusive to the ride and make the building look more Polynesian and a new story but keeping the LPS mechanic.Which park would work?
Absolutely agree... and it should be built in Animation Courtyard and leave the GMR alone. If this comes to full fruition, I think it could be really well done and a good ride. Mickey needs a signature ride and I think a ride in Hollywood Studios telling the story of his progression through film is a really good idea.
Imagination would had made such a good trackless ride when I think about it.I still can't help but think if you replace a certain monkey with a certain purple dragon and replace a certain professor with a certain dreamfinder you'd have a perfect replacement for Imagination!.
How about riding Pooh's Hunny Hunt which was the first ride using the LPS system?Ride it, then argue.
If the tech existed when DL and WDW were built several rides could have been trackless. Mr. Toad and Alice for sure.Imagination would had made such a good trackless ride when I think about it.
I'm hearing rumors that Mystic Manor will be moving into The Great Movie Ride after the "new lands" are completed. I know we have heard a rumor regarding a Mickey Mouse based attraction in the same place. A new trackless system would be awesome for this facility and really up the possibilities for the "Hollywood Studios." Anyone have an update for this possible project?
I prefer Pooh's Hunny Hunt to Mystic Manor since it contained more AA's that made the environment feel more alive.Adding Mystic Manor doesn't make a pqrkna true 'full day destination'. As amazing as Mystic Manor is, it doesn't make HKDL a full day destination. What makes a full day destination would be several rides. And Mystic Manor, as appealing as it is for fanboi's and girls, does not fit in with the studios theme. However loose that theme is.
Same as it doesn't fit into Animal Kingdom as every armchair Imagineer seems to want it to.
It's not their answer to Haunted Mansion - it's a house that comes to life with a magic music box. There will probably never be a Haunted Mansion in a Chinese park, given the cultures views and superstition around ghosts and the dead. The only similarities are that it's a dark ride and it's in a house (not a haunted house!)
Whilst the ride is fantastic - and I really do love it, aside from building a Mystic Point, there isn't many places the ride would fit... Certainly not just for the sake of it.
I whole heartedly agree a similar format featuring figment amd dreamfinder could be a great ride.
Let's let HK keep Mystic Manor - they deserve a little something to call their own!
What about the Tokyo Pooh AA's?Better animatronics - fact.
Better ride system - fact.
Better effects - fact.
Maybe suggesting it is better is an opinion, but you can relax on the caps over it.

In all fairness WDW had it in 1972.Ugh the UNI screenz disease spreads to WDW.
Disney has been using screens for years.(For better or worse) WDI's Tom Fitzgerald is notorious for it.Ugh the UNI screenz disease spreads to WDW.
Without elevation changes and the darker tone.. Your argument is invalid. Its a fancy ride vehicle sure but its not better by leaps and bounds.Because Mystic Manor is light years better than the haunted mansion. Additionally, it is not a haunted house, it is a the legend of a musical box that brings inanimate objects to life thoughout the mansion, and is arguably the best ride at any Disney park. You would think that Walt Disney World would have an attraction to compete as the best, but it doesn't.

Still ticks me off that Mickey won't get a brand new ride, just a re-purposed old ride..
As I understand things, over 90% of the interior will be new. As will the ride system.
But yes, that's still some recycled items. And a recycled building. In a park crying out for more, not replacements.
I shouldn't go into details. So is the ride not going to tell the history of Mickey through film? For some reason I thought it was.
