Is Mystic Manor coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios?

Why are you here then?

Test Track
Mission: Space
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Dinosaur
Everest
Soon Flight of Passage
I would argue Tower of Terror

Why am I here? The same reason everybody else is, a fan of the parks who like to share our passion with others. I just made a comment that WDW needs more unique world class attractions, such as something like Mystic Manor, that would fall in the best and unique category. I am really surprised on all backlash I received over it.

Test track is not as good a Radiator Spring Racers.
Mission Space is good enough for a Disney attraction, just not one of the best.
Everest in not a world class coaster.
I like Indiana Jones better than Dinosaur, definitely not the pinnacle of a vacation.
Flight of passage we'll have to wait and see.
Tower of Terror is not unique to WDW.

I stand corrected on Kilimanjaro Safaris. You are correct, that is the one, but WDW should have one world class unique attraction at each park.

Tower of Terror is the original and different from all the vastly less than version 2 of the ride. If you haven't ridden ToT at DCA or WDSP then you wouldn't understand.. otherwise the ride is on a different level.

Everest is an incredible ride.. especially at night.

Indiana Jones vs Dino is a matter of taste... both are great.

Test Track is like 15 years older than RSR... it is original and different.

I have been on multiple Tower of Terror attractions. I prefer WDW version, as I always like the way the car enters the shaft, in a way it does not from the other parks. But, the attraction - not the implantation of the ride, is not unique to WDW.

Everest is an incredible ride, but would you place it in the top 5 best? I wouldn't.

Test track may be original and different, but it is no way close to a top 5 attraction. Maybe before the tron overlay....

Why so much resistance is wanting more world class unique attractions to WDW?
I guess most people are just happy with the frozen overlay.

Why have two haunted mansions?

Why have 3 spinners in the same park (Dumbo, Flying Carpet, Astro Orbiter)? Four counting Triceratops Spin in another park.

Why have 4 coasters in the same park (SM, BTMR, 7DMT, Barnburner)? Six counting Everest and RnRC.

Why have 3 Mountain theme rides in the same park (4 counting Everest)?

Why have two arcade shooter rides (Buzz, TSMM), both sharing the same character?

Why have more than one Fireworks show?

I think there would be room for a Mystic Manor and Haunted Mansion. And if corporate doesn't see a need for it, then let the customers' continual asking for it change their minds.

Oh, trust me, There will not be a 1973 Pirates-style public pressure thing to bring Mystic Manor to WDW.

You are comparing the usage of similar ride systems to the use of two rides which ostensibly have the same concept (although there are some differences, obviously).

It would be more like saying, "let's build Tokyo's Tower of Terror in Adventureland."

No
I would rather Disney use how the ride works in HK and create something new. Kinda like they did with Test Track and Radiator Springs racers in California Adventures.

When I'm playing RCT, I usually wind up putting popular rides in my park at least twice, if not three times. And since it appears that the WDW management is basing their decisions off of a master game of RCT they keep running in their corporate office, I'd expect no less from them.

Where the second, somewhat similar ride gets put was not part of my response at all. So... don't have a clue what you're talking about.

Would a mystic manor kind of ride not fit anywhere in animal kingdom?

I realize that there are no (current) plans for Mystic Manor to come to WDW. In the future, who knows? But there's no point in getting hyped up for the idea now.

That said, if they were to decide to bring the ride to WDW, the best park for it would be DAK. You could easily fit it into Asia by using an Indian inspired look for the mansion and provide a backstory of Lord Mystic settling in Anandapur. Or you could have it be a separate small land the way it is in HKDL.

The ride itself is relatively well suited for that park including a spirit of adventure and exploring as well as even featuring an animal as a critical part of the story (though it could be modified to be slightly more in tune with DAK if felt that were needed). Best of all, that type of indoor family friendly dark ride would be a perfect compliment to the existing experiences in DAK.
