I have a report from last night at DHS - Tower of Terror was listed as a 50 minute wait. Some people I know rode twice in 22 minutes.
I wouldn't use Tower of Terror as a reference point, this happens often when a side or two goes down and they "forget" to update the wait-time sign.

Parks are busy, not 2022 let alone 2019 busy, but doing good business. Not defending WDW's terrible actions, but the parks (outside DAK) are far from failing.

I would. I'm well aware of how the wait times fluctuate for that ride and the people who reported that to me are, as well. They've been able to do a staggering amount of rides and they aren't even entering the parks until noon.

No one said they are failing. But they currently are not busy, outside of a few random days/holidays. There is the appearance of crowding, but that is optics on Disney's part due to managerial decision-making.

Just finished a 6 night stay at Walt Disney World. We travel in August often, including last year so thought I would share some thoughts on crowds we experienced - obviously just anecdotally and ymmv

Overall crowds:
- felt more crowded than last year, pathways more full, etc
- noticed more non-English being spoken so maybe international travel is up some?
- noticed more "first visit" buttons
& For firework viewing front two all around the lagoon was taken for Luminous by 8:30. 3 rows deep by show time. For HEA, hub taped off areas full >60mins before showtime, and announced Main St was at capacity 30mins before (we otied to watch while riding the speedway)

Hotel:
- pool was packed midday, everyday - challenge to get a lounger. We were at Kidani so perhaps DVC people still using/renting while other hotels are slower

Rides:
- felt like the top tier /most popular wee about the same wait (posted and in Lines app) or a little lower than last year
- BUT the lower tier rides were much longer. Thinking this is LLMP spreading out crowds and people taking a LL for a 2nd tier ride when wouldn't bother with G+.
- example, never seen the physical line for Nemo out the building

Dining:
- quick service was very crowded despite full staffing (at least for taking orders, can't speak for the kitchen). Took 30mins consistently to get food
- BUT table service reservations were wide open - when looking for stuff, even like day of for Akershus, Be Our Guest, etc, wide open

LLMP/VQ:
- we got for MK and DHS and got great use out of it. I will likely put a post in the dedicated thread with details. One that seemed to go quick and never saw come back was Jingle Cruise
- didn't get for Epcot and somewhat regretting it as we didn't get on Frozen or Remy. Wait was always higher than kids willing to wait (and not just posted time, we checked the physical lines and how far they stretched). Even during DeluxeExtra Hours they were hour or more (side note, Deluxe Extra Hours at Epcot is kind of a bust, but great at MK)
- VQs: got 7am for Tiana's and 1pm and 6pm for Tron, and also 7am and 6pm for Guardians

Overall a great trips - MK being open to 1am with extra hours took a bit out of us and still recovering lol
Also regular August goers who just returned. Parks felt slightly more crowded than last summer, we chocked it up to Halloween parties having started. Sit down restaurants did not have long waits and Hollywood and Vine even had empty tables at dinner time. Our only day that felt really crowded was our last Mk day on a non party day which I think is common as people want full park hours. Even so it was easy to view fireworks, night shows, even getting into the Halloween party was easy. We did a DVC tour at riviera and our person seemed desperate despite telling us that millions were already a part of it so they don’t actually need us. I bet DVC isn’t selling so hot right now.

My wife is coming down for the weekend after my sales conference at Universal. The plan was to do a day at Epcot to satisfy her addiction to blood orange margaritas. However, at $154 per ticket to get into the park, there is no way we will pay that. Guess we will just go to AK lodge for dinner and to the Poly for bread pudding and fireworks. Then a day at Universal to take care of my Harry Potter issues.

I know several people who have had the same experience. They were in Orlando for either work or passing through and wanted to visit a park but the one day park ticket price was a major turn off and they just skip it.

A hack for this is to Google “Disney convention Orlando” and your dates. You can often find public facing convention websites that have one day after 2PM tickets for $90ish.

I was at a convention not partnered with Disney and used this last year to randomly buy a one day after two ticket to MK and it worked perfectly. Linked to MDE no issue and just tapped in when I got there.

Checked Uni prices and $174 for a 1 day /2 park ticket. Looks like No parks, a little table service, 3 pool days, and other "stuff".

My understanding is the Riviera and Ft Wilderness Cabins are not selling well at all ... Will be interesting to see how the new Poly tower sells as demand *should* be high given the location, but we shall see

DVC people sounding desperate is their job, isn’t it? I can’t imagine them acting comfortably or like they don’t need to make any sales.

In another group it’s definitely been mixed.. some seem desperate others seem not to care and you can’t even get in touch with them after you go home. We’ve considered dvc for years but 32k is a bit steep lol. We’re still debating if resale has any value.
