iPhone 5 pre-order day is here - who is in?

You would be surprised how much of a difference CPU makes on web browsing. I reently tested an iPad1 vs iPad 2 vs iPad3 opening the WDWMAGIC homepage. All were done on the same wifi network. The iPad 3 took about 5 seconds to fully render the page, the iPad 1 took 22 seconds. Again, all using the same WiFi network, with the same network performance. The only difference was the hardware. Websites these days use so much javascript and complex HTML, that a big bottleneck is indeed the processor. I am expecting iPhone 5 to provide significantly better browsing experience than the 4.

And it looks like the next Razr will be the first with a 2ghz one.

Clock speed is not really what its about anymore though. CPU design is way more important now than just cranking up the clock speed, that is the cheating way, and ends up with heat and power problems. Apparently Apple are leading the way with mobile processor design with this first chip that they totally designed in-house.

Thank goodness. As a developer, Flash was a nightmare. Glad to see Apple killed it off. Denying it on iOS forced developers to stop writing for it to ensure iPad compatibly. Everyone is better off as a result.

Not needed since Adobe discontinued it for Android, and it was never released for iOS

that's fine.. that's the distribution point for FedEx... in the FedEx model everything can be only next day away from the hub. They probably have staged everything there.. to flush when ready

That's what I figured...it's just funny because I check the link every once in awhile (i.e. more often than I should ) and I'll see an update and they are always from Memphis! I have literally 10 updates telling me it's Picked up/Left/Arrived at the Fedex facility in Memphis. Someone must be walking it from room to room...

I'm kinda miffed. I've gotten nothing as far as tracking info. I got a text today with a link to some sort of upgrading tech support stuff. I suppose I'll go check my order status again. Kinda a bummer. I know some people won't be getting their pre-orders tomorrow but I did ours at 6:30 in the morning and the order confirmations for both said we would have them on 9/21. If we don't get them tomorrow I'm gonna be hoppin' mad!

How many people are disappointed with ATT today? I preordered an iphone5 and did not get one while walk ins were sold new iPhones. Anyone else have this happen with ATT?

After waiting for seven hours in line (unintentionally at first... three hours sorta morphed into more) to get the iPhone4, I got up at 3am last week and pre-ordered the new phone from Apple. Arrived this morning at 10am. Lesson learned for me!

And yep, I'm really pleased with the new phone. On top of that AT&T turned on the LTE switch *last night* in the Detroit area so I'm very much a happy guy.

My order status shows that my two phones were shipped and were delivered on Thursday [to where I'm not sure - either the store itself or a warehouse somewhere...] - still no call from the store to set up an appointment!
