DAK is the one park right now that is doing everything right. All of the additions in recent times have been top notch, and I think the nighttime offerings go a long way to completing the park as an all rounder.

I just feel with DAK right now there can be a great deal of optimism.

I agree with you on the improvements and the fact that they are attempting to bring it up a notch or two, hopefully this helps. I just have to wonder how willing the guests who choose to enter early in the day will be stick around for the night-time show. Will they take a break mid-afternoon and come back for the night time festivities? We'll find out soon, won't we.

Like all the parks now, I'm not sure we'll see the masses doing open to close in one go. But the park as a hopper destination is so much more attractive with after dark elements.

Photo of front of stage floats for Jungle Book from @bioreconstruct on Twitter. (Better than what I was expecting)

Oh I agree completely. I just don't feel the offerings will be enough to take people away from the other parks that have full blown nighttime spectaculars.

Most folks will also visit the other parks but on other nights - if someone only has an option for MK or AK for 1 night then it's up to personal preference at that point

TBH the only reason I am looking forward to these night hours on our trip this summer is so that I can go back to my room and sleep/rest in the high heat then come back.

Good Evening All,

I just checked "My Disney" and I can see calendar reservations (ADRs) available for "The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic Dinner Show" at Tusker House through September 5, 2016. Sept 5 did not seem to work but I could get a 5:50 PM reservation for Sunday, 4 September 2016.

I am not going to Disney again until 10-17 September 2016 so this does me no good. But I will be watching to see if this may open up a few more weeks to cover my vacation timeframe.

Big Question:

1) Since the Jungle Book show is only there until Rivers of Light (ROL) takes over, it would seem that 4 September is likely well past the transition date for ROL. Would this mean that a Dinner Show reservation for Jungle Book would automatically transition to ROL?

Seems a waste to make a Jungle Book reservation for 4 September 2016 if it will be cancelled by Disney well before that. It only makes sense (to me anyway) to have an automatic rollover to ROL

I am a new member and admit that I did not read all 22 pages of this past thread. So hopefully I am not bringing up a question that has already been discussed.

Thanks. Starship Disney

If you read above in this thread, it is very likely that ROL may start before that and the dining packages would just be switched over. ROL is planning the same dining experiences so that wouldn't be a big factor.

Thanks for the feedback. I really want to get the ROL Dinner Show for our upcoming vacation so I will grab the first available ADR that I see available for Friday, 16 September (our AK day) regardless of whether it is for Jungle Book or ROL.

My guess would be it won't impact Everest. They can't shut the ride down for an hour for the two shows, and I think the show audio levels and direction the audience are facing will mitigate the issue.
I wouldn't expect them to close the ride while the show is going on. They will probably just dim the lights.
I don't know about anyone else, but I have been unable to get a FP+ for EE past 7:30pm for any night during my trip June 2-11. (and I have been looking since I was first able to make my 9:30pm FP+ for KS weeks ago) Makes me wonder if they aren't planning to shut it down during the show. I personally think it would be a silly thing to do, but I'm starting to think that is what is going to happen.

Have you guys been following along with the DAK night experiences?
Late hours are here to stay, leading up to AVATAR, which is strong after dark.

Rivers of Light (or Jungle Book), Kilimanjaro NIght Safari, Tree of Life Awakenings, Harambe Wildlife Parti, Discovery Island Carnival, and Tiffins. Along with the parks other attractions.

With nighttime falling around 9pm in the summer, you have just two hours to do all that. It is a pretty strong nighttime line up already.
I've always wanted to see AK at night. So if I ever return to WDW in the future I'm differently going to visit AK at dawn.

So I'm guessing the viewing area will be loaded from the bottom (closest to the water) first, then working up?

We'll find out after the first show and honestly it will probably be an ever evolving operation. This is a brand new theatre and process, I'm sure operations will be testing out every possible operation to load the theatre the most efficiently. I mean Fantasmic loads a section at a time but lets you pick whatever row you want.

I'm assuming Jungle Book will not be bad weather friendly, So FPs I know they would just give you another time or date, but what about dining packages? I'm assuming the same as F! which I personally have never experienced. Would they just give you a regular FP or a VIP section voucher you can use for another date?

Depends what's in the fine print about inclement weather.

EE has not had any FP+ availability after 8:00 p.m offered yet. I have been monitoring daily for a while now. Dinosaur, TTBAB, Primeval Whirl offer FP+ up till 10:00 p.m. but no EE.
