Interim show 'The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic' confirmed to debut ahead of Rivers of Light

I was able to book 11 people for dinner at tusker house package on Aug 5th. I had 2 choices for dinner times and it automatically assigned us the 1st showing. Does anyone think there is a better seat preference between dining package and fastpasses? Figured I would do dining package for us so I didn't have to worry about craziness trying to get everyone fastpasses but if seating is better with fastpasses then I may switch.

I think the seating will be better with FP because Dinoland is Dining & Standby and Asia is just FP.

I haven't done the fantasmic dining package in a while. Do they typically let dining package people in first? Or is everyone just mixed in together?

this show runs at 9pm and 10:30pm, but the park hours still say closes at 5pm, can I assume that AK is just going to start staying open late? sorry if this has already been discussed somewhere.

We were able to get Tusker 10:10 breakfast on Aug 3 at 6:07ish am today. Gave us 1st showing. I prefer the earlier showing bc I want to be able to do more at night there. Even with the package, I plan on being at the theater at last 45-1 hr before anyway.

Looking forward to the 1st few days of reviews On traffic pattern.

I wonder if the seating and everything is the same for both Tusker House and Tiffens? I know there is a price difference which makes me curious if you get better or priority seating from Tiffens?

They have 2 large barge stages, with steps, set up in front of both theaters. 2 on each side. They kind of look like they will be set up prior to the show and be stationary... However if that were the case I don't know how the performers would get on the stages?

Also there are buoys spread out in the water... No idea what those are for.

I have to wonder how well this is going to work for AK. The park is supposed to be staying open until 11pm some nights, with two shows, but how many people are going to want to stay that late with so little to do? I mean, can the park really keep guests in the park for that long?

My guess is no and I believe that's why the park is only scheduled to remain open to 11pm until July 2nd. After that I look for a 9:00 pm closing time with only one performance.

Have you guys been following along with the DAK night experiences?
Late hours are here to stay, leading up to AVATAR, which is strong after dark.

Rivers of Light (or Jungle Book), Kilimanjaro NIght Safari, Tree of Life Awakenings, Harambe Wildlife Parti, Discovery Island Carnival, and Tiffins. Along with the parks other attractions.

With nighttime falling around 9pm in the summer, you have just two hours to do all that. It is a pretty strong nighttime line up already.

^^^ this ^^^^

I appreciate the focus on entertainment at night vs just attractions to keep people there. I can't say if/if not it will effective, but I can't wait to see what they have in store when i'm there in august.
Question: Have there added more showings of FoLK or Nemo to go into those night hours?

I don't see any of those experiences drawing big crowds away from the other parks. If the Jungle Book show is not a hit they will cut hours to save money. They are not going to keep the park open late if no one is there.

People will be there, no question. Everyone is going to want to see Kilimanjaro at night and Rivers of Light - at least once.

We'll see, but I'm very confident nighttime at AK will be a huge hit.
