I was able to book 11 people for dinner at tusker house package on Aug 5th. I had 2 choices for dinner times and it automatically assigned us the 1st showing. Does anyone think there is a better seat preference between dining package and fastpasses? Figured I would do dining package for us so I didn't have to worry about craziness trying to get everyone fastpasses but if seating is better with fastpasses then I may switch.
It appears that the two sides are pretty symmetrical, so I don'r expect one side to be "better" than the other. But with any show like this, the closer to show center, the better the overall experience.

I haven't done the fantasmic dining package in a while. Do they typically let dining package people in first? Or is everyone just mixed in together?
For F!, there is a block of seats, front center, that is blocked off for dining packages. That's the only way I will do F! anymore, so I'm not sure how they handle FPPs.

I wonder if the seating and everything is the same for both Tusker House and Tiffens? I know there is a price difference which makes me curious if you get better or priority seating from Tiffens?
They "could" reserve the seats closer to show center for the Tiffins packages, but I don't know how they would handle the logistics of this. Back in the RoL discussions I remember reading the term "VIP seating" - but I don't know what this means...

I have to wonder how well this is going to work for AK. The park is supposed to be staying open until 11pm some nights, with two shows, but how many people are going to want to stay that late with so little to do? I mean, can the park really keep guests in the park for that long?
I'm thinking the KS PM safaris will be popular, and if FPPs are going to closing, then that will keep at least some people in the park. At least initially, there will be a lot of people that will just want to see the park at night; in all the years I've been going, I've only seen it once.

Honestly I am hoping this show is a total flop so it lights a bigger fire under their you know what's to get RoL fixed and opened! BUT I'm sure the total opposite will happen.
Call me a "pixie duster", but I am really hoping that the show is great, so all of the people who ARE there have a positive experience. But I don't want it to be SO good that they just keep it indefinitely. If I was going to be going this summer, I would looking very forward to seeing the JB show...

So I'm guessing the viewing area will be loaded from the bottom (closest to the water) first, then working up?
Unless they load from show center out to the "side" seats... Or else they just open the whole area and let people choose. "Everyone please move to the right and fill in all open spaces..."

@wdwmagic Should we start a thread strictly for the viewing area? Many of us have questions in regards to seating location and views. That way for those who want to know about seating but not the show itself can avoid spoilers?

you mean the guy who's on salary and is going to say what the company tells him to say?

I'm excited to have a show there, but I'm really hoping that its more then just musicians playing cultural instruments on floating stages that are anchored to the theater, while they project movie clips on water canons behind them.

I know it was put together in a short time, but to me, that would be just a half step over the Studio's Star Wars fashion show.

I'm really not expecting much from this show to be honest. Maybe I'll be surprised but we'll see

Part of me wants to say that Disney would never offer Dining Packages for something as lame as that, but part of me wouldn't doubt it, especially with the current trends of disney..
