What would everyone's opinion be of Pixar leading the creative design of whatever is going to take its? Not using their characters that they've already designed, but new characters. Figment could still be there of course. It's something that I've been thinking would be a good idea.

I'd rather let William Joyce play with the Figment and Dreamfinder setting.

If it has figment and the dreamfinder and the fanciful julez verne/magical puffy cloud feel to it then why not. If there gonna do more super total cool boom boom explody action movie style then hang it!

The fact that Figment and Dreamfinder were created specifically for Epcot is the reason they should return to Epcot. They weren't a tie-in to some show or movie or whatever. They were unique. I think that Epcot should be characterized as a place where ideas are born and experimentation is a way of life. I also think that Figment's abilities should be expanded upon - he should be able to change shape, a la the Genie; he IS a Figment of imagination, after all...

That's the reason Disney doesn't want them there, because Figment and Dreamfinder aren't one of the Fab 5 or the Disney Princesses, or have anything to do with Pirates or some other successful franchise.

Disney doesn't find a point in having anything that isn't either:
  1. Franchise-based
  2. A thrill ride
  3. Both

Sigh! We can only hope that they remember the backlash when they removed Figment from the Attraction. Not to mention the amount of merchandise Figment & Dreamfinder sells. They have a golden opportunity to restore a lot of goodwill from the fanbase. If they blow it again, it will really be devastating.

So all they need to do is make an awesome Figment+DF movie/show, then they can redo the pavilion properly and satisfy their "franchise" requirement. Problem solved.

I have seen good ole Merf posting on twitter that the Imagination Pavilion will close in January with no scheduled re-opening date. Anyone agree or have any news to debunk/support this?

Would a Mission Space CM even be given that kind of information so early in advance??

My guess at this point is the p and f will get a 3d film or perhaps another attraction in the theater. At least I hope so. Pavilions should be multiple things not just a film or cartoon. the seas should have just had turtle talk but also other things.

He heard it from a OP when he was doing an extra shift at The seas with nemo and friends.

For instance, they did not put pixar/disney's cars in test track. And that would be a terrible idea too. Imagine if they did that to every pavillion they couldn't call it future world anymore. Stitch's mission space, a bugs LAND, It'd start looking like a six flags park where the theme of the lands are ignored and you have a safari and bizarro from superman both in the wild west.

According to Intercot, Tony Baxter is a consultant.
