If WDW would add a new theme park, what would you want the theme to be?

Disney Sea. Replace the American Waterfront with Paradise Pier though, since we already have those attractions. Give it some other changes so it would appeal to everyone (I don't think it has a lot of thrill rides, for example). I really hope we get Disney Sea someday, actually. I also think it has the greatest chance of being the 5th gate in WDW. Honestly, Star Wars and Marvel would be really cool parks, and I'd go to them (Even though I'm not a fan of either, lol), but it doesn't have a mass appeal like the other parks. As stated earlier in the thread, it is too specific. The same goes for the villain park. It has a minority appeal. A lot of visitors are families who wouldn't care for a roller coaster park. In fact, I don't think I'd personally like it that much.

I would like a park that was proposed and later nixed for the Virginia area about American history...It could be really done great by Disney! AND I would like an extinct attractions park - I would love to sit through the Country Bears Christmas show through out the year and I can really miss the World of Motion rides theme song!!

Harry Potter...many people not fans (like myself) and yet somehow....it works ;)

Did you specifically go to Universal for Harry Potter or did you go to Universal and happen to end up at Harry Potter?

I think the difference is nobody who dislikes Star Wars is going to say "You know what, I hate Star Wars, but I'll put out my money and vacation days to try out a Star Wars park." People who end up nearby may try it out, but you wont be able to convince those who dislike it to put money into a trip entirely based on it.

Sure, there are people who are not big SW fans however there are a TON of people who are. Certainly enough to pack the park. There are VERY few franchises that could hold an entire park and I think SW has enough fans to do so.

I certainly agree with that aspect of it. There are A LOT of Star Wars fans out there. I just think it would be misguided for Disney to spend so heavily on something that only relates to a very pronounced niche. But then again, I'm still iffy on Carsland, and that's not an entire park.

I always thought a theme park dedicated to the 7 natural wonders of the world would be cool. it could have attractions like a Paricutin volcano roller coaster, a Great Barrier Reef submarine ride, a Grand Canyon area, and maybe an aurora lights night time show.

Would probably be very $$$ but I think it's a neat concept.

"Hey, wait a minute, I love that idea. How 'bout some backstage passes?"

A park OR park extension with these themes you mentioned could have some really great simulator rides.

Wow! I surprised so many people have posted on this thread already! With great suggestions too! I agree with expanding Hollywood Studios. It really is the best park and I think they could do more with Star Wars, Pixar, and the Muppets are making a comeback so maybe extend that. I wish Disney would have done more with the Great Movie Ride like more versions of it or something because that's my favorite ride.
The Great Muppet Movie Ride?

I think the Heroes vs. Villains park idea that has been thrown around on the boards for years is the way to go. I've put my own spin on it:

The theme of the park would be good vs. evil,. The day would start bright with heroes roaming the streets and greeting guests. By early evening there would be a show at the park's central hub, with Villains taking over the park. By sundown, the park would go full-villain with appropriate spooky lighting and character appearances.

However, the day will culminate with a revamped Fantasmic (assuming WoC takes over at DHS) that would have Mickey and friends save the day...only to have the battle continue again tomorrow.

The lands would be divided into a combination of Marvel, Star Wars, as well as other Disney/Pixar properties (The Incredibles obviously, but also Hercules, Aladdin) etc.

The park would also feature tributes to real-life heroes as well. A restaurant and shop near the entrance of the park celebrating Firefighters, Police Officers, Military, etc would be a nice addition. I'd also love to offer discount admission for said individuals.

I think this would make for a great theme park experience. It would also bring in great quantities of guests as these properties are classic and exciting.

Anything with SW.....even a decent section of HS, would make me happy. Anything.

I'd like to see a park dedicated to the villains. I read somewhere that Disney was originally going to make a "Dark Kingdom", but they scrapped the plans. It would be really cool if they did do a villains park it think that would be pretty awesome!

This. Yep. It wouldn't even have to be an entire theme park. I'd settle for just a "land" in a park. I really want to see some more villains!!!!

Extinct attractions park.

Okay let me just try to wrap my mind around how cool this would be.

So you're saying build a park with attractions such as Horizons, alien encounter, world of motion, 20,000 leagues under the sea, If you had wings, the timekeeper, the skyway, original journey into imagination, body wars, food rocks, I could go on and on...

That is literally the greatest idea ever. You could even replicate the landscaping around to attractions to their original conditions. And to people who don't really follow Disney these are all new attractions. And the young people who never got to ride horizons (like myself) this would be their opportunity to do so!

Awesome

BUT would you have If You Had Wings or Delta Dreamflight? Food Rocks or Kitchen Kabaret? Which version of Imagination would go in? Which version of SSE? Would we get a whole attraction just so we could watch the FULL versions of Tiki Room and Country Bear Jamboree? Can we have a Liberty Tree Tavern with characters? Would we get another Pirates just to remove the mermaids and Jack? Am I totally overthinking this never-gonna-happen hypothetical situation?
