If WDW would add a new theme park, what would you want the theme to be?

Since the blogosphere often says Disney is too childcentric, how about a Fifty Shades of Grey park?

Think of the dark ride possibilities!

The Dreams Come True parade could be repurposed to fit the theme.

When someone says they are 'Dole Whipped' out, you have to think twice about what they are talking about.

And of course, there could be a tie in with the Haunted Mansion and Master Gracey.

The term Rope Drop takes on a whole new meaning!!

(BTW - only kidding - I had too little sleep last night... don't hate me for my silly thoughts!)

You just made me spew coffee all over my keyboard! :D

I always thought a theme park dedicated to the 7 natural wonders of the world would be cool. it could have attractions like a Paricutin volcano roller coaster, a Great Barrier Reef submarine ride, a Grand Canyon area, and maybe an aurora lights night time show.

Would probably be very $$$ but I think it's a neat concept.

I'd like to see a park dedicated to the villains. I read somewhere that Disney was originally going to make a "Dark Kingdom", but they scrapped the plans. It would be really cool if they did do a villains park it think that would be pretty awesome!
YES YES YES! I would LOVE this! I would be a billion times more likely to revisit this park VS a Star Wars park because I'm not a Star Wars fan, however I would still visit the Dtar Wars park just because it is Disney...I'm prejudice like that :)

Really a neat idea. There are many lists for the 7 wonders of the world based on era, geography, etc. You could pull from all of these and even have an area devoted to what has been considered a wonder of the world at different times. It is a nice way to tie together a bunch of awe inspiring cool stuff.

Old Disney rules. Keep it clean. Make it interesting to adults. Keep 11yo boys in mind when designing it. Loads of pretty stuff around. Lots of extras, like the shoot-out. Best ride technology you can find and at least one high-tech thrill ride.

If they do all that, almost any theme would work. The theme could be "doing laundry" and it would be great. Themes are great and the right theme is wonderful, but its more the implementation than the theme.

I'd pick Geography. It opens up the entire world and since the schools no longer teach this (heck, there are grown-up teachers who never had a Geography class), maybe they could teach the kids a little something while they were at it.

Science Fiction Park. I know WDW has Tomorrowland, but there is a lot that can be done with Science Fiction as attractions.

Disney/Pixar has different properties in the Science Fiction genre including Star War, Tron, and Wall.E as examples.

The fact DHS is limited in what additions they can with Star Wars in DHS. Pixar Palace is also limited for DHS. Tomorrowland also is limited in what you could do since it is only a land.

A Science Fiction Park for attractions can have stuff like a Tron Coaster, and a pod Racing attraction as examples.

TOTALLY disagree. The Star Wars universe is vast. It spans time. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. The possibilities are endless. A segment of a park is far, far too limiting.

I don't see how Star Wars can't have it's own park. I think it's inevitable. It's something I'm certain WILL happen, it's just a question of when.

I think there is a large population of people who simply don't like Star Wars. I don't think Disney would invest over a billion (DAK was the most recent reference at almost $1B) in a park that would appeal to a majority of Disney's park guests.

I, of course, would go. My wife would not. I think TDO and TDA would be wise to build a segment well before building an entire Star Wars park.

I would think its the opposite. I would say that ONE park could not hold the vast things you can make from the SW universe......restaurants, shows, rides, meet and greets, etc.

Did you read the rest of my explanation as to why you can't have such a specifically themed park?
