I didn't realize the vendors wore our nametags, I often wonder why participants and vendors don't have a different image on their nametag so that people can differentiate who really is a Disney CM and who is as I call them an extended family member of Disney.
I am sure there is a reason though.

Why yes, that's the person!! My pulse raced a little bit when I saw the picture!! Did you have a run in with him also? God, I'm ed off all over again just seeing his picture again. He did have a CM nametag. But his schtick was all sales and self promotion. If he was a CM, lord help us all!!:brick:

A Rose By Any Other Nametag...

Pixie, I wondered the same thing after noticing this.

I think a "Hello My Name Is" nametag would be a little bit more appropriate. (heh heh)

If they haven't met the requirements that CM's must meet (training), they should have a distinctly different type of name tag. I'd hate for guests who might have a less-than-Disney experience with a vendor to be under the impression that the vendor was a direct WDW representative.

I'm sure this problem is in the minority - I bet most of the vendors are very decent, pleasant people. The only minor issue that I can't help but notice is that the vendors are there for personal financial gain. Whereas other retail CM's make the same amount of money regardless of how much merchandise they sell.

Problem Vendor?

Bad business practices can spread negative word of mouth, as seems to be the case here. WDW should be able to easily identify this person with another picture:

And just in case that's not enough, here is the vendor's nameplate:

<img src="http://photoalbums.wdwmagic.com/data/505/437Vendorname.jpg">

Oh, and we can't forget about those plant holders. :lookaroun They don't look all that original to me. I've seen this "stack" arrangement befor, as I'm sure many of you have. What's so original about hanging pots so that one is above the other? What do you guys think?

Want more, or will that do?

I recommend that you let both Disney and the vendor himself know that you are not happy with this man's behavior if you have in fact experienced a problem with him yourself, personally.

Funny how pictures his "copyrighted" planters are plastered right on the front page of his website for everybody to save to their hard drives and distribute and make a general mockery of his "copyright." Also nowhere on the site does it say ANYTHING about a "copyright" nothing like, "do not take pictures or steal the pictures of my crappy over priced plant stands."

Bad Show!

Thanks Bader Brent for exposing the vendor exhibiting bad show, and thank Timekeeper for the photos of the items that led to the altercation. As I was reading this thread, I kept thinking that posting the photos that the vendor objected to would be the best remedy.

I am distressed that Guest Relations did not have someone available to handle the situation when it occured, but feel confident that they will handle a follow-up communication. I recommend a letter, as the email responses are largely 'canned' responses based upon key words in the message and subject line (this has been my experience anyway). When I corresponded by letter, I received a personal response.

Wow! I can't believe you actually found the guy and more. You guys are better than the FBI and Mafia combined. Gee Brent, I figured you'd just go home and forget about another random idiot but, now you can actually order a hit on the guy! Tell us again about when you saw his picture and your skin crawled and you got all mad!!

I promise I'll be good on all my next visits...

It's going to be like Where's Waldo tyring to find this guy when I go in a few weeks near the end of the Flower&Garden Festival :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: .

We should all show up at his booth at the same time sporting cameras and watch him chase us off and try and cover up his precious "patented" merchandise  .

Strange... I did a search of the United States Patent Office website for his last name Nizin (from the picture courtesy of Timekeeper) and it didn't produce any results. Patents he says? I say he's a lier considering I've seen those planters at all sorts of craft shows and garden centers.

He is located just to the right of where the walkway from Future World meets the walkway around the "World Showcase" I saw these planter things there. I do remember that his wife (I guess) was watching my mother and me rather closely. I had a camera around my neck so I guess she knew that I was "packing some heat"! You never really know just how close you've come to tragedy on any given day.

Thanks to Timekeeper for all the info and Pixie Duster for her input as well. In all honesty, this situation should never happen to anyone at anytime. But the fact it happened on WDW property at one the their shows is what concerns me. I'm looking forward to a response from disney.

Why do I have the Mission Impossible background music going through my head!!

Your mission if you choose to take it is to find this vendor, take a photo, and escape with all body parts intact!! Good luck to all who accept this mission....

I'm not a great debater at all. I feel sorry for "GUY" if he runs into anyone from these boards. As a whole, this board can argue and debate with great ease from the years I've been on here. Thanks again for giving my wife and I a little levity to the whole situation.

done... I accept this mission.

I'll be there tomorrow, and I will ask him for some proof from the US Copyright Office, as well as his State of Florida business license (required by law to be shown on request), and ask for some business cards...

why? cause I can. And cause this guy deserves a little heartache from lil' ole me :king:

Me thinks this guy messed with the wrong person (me) and my friends ( all of you )!! Give him hell mkt!! God I would love to be sitting on a bench watching this all unfold. As I stated before, he said that his plant holders had copyrights and patents on them. Watch out when his mouth starts foaming though!!:D
