I’ve got a Valentine’s Date at Disney!

When – February 14-18, 2013

What – Valentine’s Day Trip

Who – Just me and the hubs!

Why – We had actually planned on going with the kids this weekend since they had a 4 day weekend. We booked it quite a while ago and then the kids ended up having all kinds of conflicts. So we cancelled and went at Thanksgiving instead! So while their lovely faces were in that trip report, this one is adult only!

Around the middle of January, Stephen remembered that his favorite soccer team, DC United, was going to be playing at Wide World of Sports over President’s Day Weekend.

He said, “Man I wish we could still go to Disney in a few weeks.”

I was like, “Um, honey? WE can still go to Disney!”

Oh yeah!!

So we bought some plane tickets, scrambled to find some places to stay on points and we were booked!

As a bonus, good friends and fellow KK agents Heather (@DisneyHeather) and Missy (@polymissy) were going to be there at the same time. And Richard (@Master Yoda) was coming up for the day on Saturday! Woo hoo! Friends everywhere! What fun this was going to be!

Soccer...not gonna lie, lost on me. Soccer reminds me of elementary school PE, the part I refused to have any part of. Running around in the hot Florida sun chasing a pack of wild kicking kids was just not my deal. I think I was the only 5th grader who got anything less than an 'A' in PE. If only I could've gotten points for style sitting in the shade. LOL! I'm not sure I could even follow a soccer game if I tried. Even knowing nothing about the game, your pics you shared were really great! Definitely some good action stuff going on.

The Pop Warner plaque was...well...interesting. Having been at WDW w/that group before I wouldn't use those words to describe the lot but it's a nice sentiment for someone to try to pitch.

Still following even if kinda on the quiet side.

After soccer ended, we took a bus to All Star Sports, then a bus to Magic Kingdom, then a boat to the Poly! Transportation purgatory! It probably took us an hour and a half, but we had plenty of time.

I’m looking forward to trying the Grand Floridian villas one day!

We're here! We spent our honeymoon at the Poly!

Tonight we were crashing Missy’s reservations at ‘Ohana! ‘Ohana. Otherwise known as Meat City.

Thank goodness all we had to eat today was turkey wraps and we were starving! There’s no other way to go to ‘Ohana. Starving.

See? They’re making meat.

I had a headache and at one point asked Missy if she had any Tylenol. I cracked up when she produced a small drugstore from her backpack:

First came the salad. Not that a salad excited me in any way, but I knew there was more to come!

The right side of this dish looks good! Not the left.

Chicken wings and pot stickers! Now we’re talking!

Missy can’t turn down a chicken wing!!

And – another staple of 'Ohana – chicken nuggets!

I was amused by how many shrimp peelings were on Missy's husband's plate.

The end was the world famous bread pudding. Don’t be too disgusted, but bread pudding is not my thing. The words bread and pudding don’t go together. Neither do “carrot and cake” or “rice and pudding” for that matter, but that’s another restaurant review!

Everyone else enjoyed the bread pudding. I would have eaten the ice cream if I was even remotely hungry at that point.

After we ate we swung by Missy and Levi’s room. Stephen hasn’t been in a room in the Poly since our honeymoon so I wanted to remind him how big the rooms are. Missy had a corner room with a stunning view of the Magic Kingdom from the patio.

From there we walked to the monorail, monorailed to Ecpot and then walked all the way through to Beach Club. Walking off a little bit of that meat!

What a fun day! It was our last full day tomorrow and we had one more resort change to go!

I am so excited to know there is a Chick-Fil-A at MCO!! As you saw on my Instagram I got my first taste of the deliciousness that is CFA recently and I'm in LOVE!! There is one about 2 hours from us and we miiiiiiight be tempted to take a ride there in the near future, just to get some!!

Helllooooooo soccer hotties!! I do know who DC United is... Do they play the New England Revolution? That's who plays for us up here. Never been to a pro soccer game because as most people have said, soccer is totally lost on me! Hockey on the other hand.... I could watch that all day long!!!

WL villas are great! Stayed there for 2 nights in May and we just love WL. Giving BLT a try after the cruise in Sept but I was tempted to book WLV again because we like it there so much!

WWoS really is HUGE!! I felt a little reminiscent looking at pics of Champion Stadium because we ran through there during the Tower of Terror 10 Miler. It looks much better in your pics, you know, in the daylight and not after I've been running 6 miles lol

Cannot tell you how many times we've watched cars pull up to the drive-thru at Chick-Fil-A on a Sunday, the rest of the parking lot COMPLETELY empty, and wait for someone to take their order. They sit there several minutes, slowly pull around to the window, sit there a few minutes, then eventually catch on that they're closed. Always good for a laugh.

I don't think I've actually pulled into the drive through, but I have pulled into the parking lot and said, "Ahhh man!!!!!!!" Lol

We actually found out recently that we are moving to Las Vegas this summer!! That was okay until I found out there's not a single Chick-Fil-A in all of Nevada!!!

Ally may not move with us when she finds this out.
