Hurricane Milton coming to FL

It’s currently over the attractions area and it is not fun at all. Can feel and now hear our upstairs shaking with the wind we’re getting. Can’t help but think that cleanup is going to last into Friday with debris, even if major and minor structures aren’t badly damaged enough to keep them from opening.
Thank you! Really hard to follow the progress over here, our news outlets obviously aren't as in the details. This forum is the best one for any info about the whereabouts and intensity.

Hope you're safe.

Woke up a little bit ago after a few hours of sleep to the wind roaring like mad. Went upstairs to check on things and wow…can feel everything shaking during the strongest moments. No apparent water damage or intrusion so far, but I was back downstairs pretty quickly. Probably won’t be going back to sleep at this point, just hoping this thing moves through soon and the worst of the winds let up before any serious damage occurs.
If you have a number of brown spots in your popcorn ceilings and you roof is still intact with shingles, water has gotten in and damaged the plywood which is between your ceilings and roof shingles. , will only get worse with more rains. Hope you fare well. If you have leaks get that blue tarp on your roof, put on asap.

Still looks like MCO expected to reopen at 6pm tonight: https://www.fly.faa.gov/flyfaa/flyfaaindex.jsp?p=0&ARPT=mco

Springs reopening tonight is looking more likely too given things look like they'll be calmed down by then. Probably means parks back open as usual from tomorrow. From what I've heard WDW looks to have been pretty unaffected all things considered.

Will be interesting to see how Epic fared given it looks like it passed right over the top of the building site.

I think springs will be open by 5 for sure. And will be mobbed by folks without power. I'm sure some stores won't open, but would imagine restaurants will if they can get in early enough to prep

Aside from about a minute long blip, we have yet to lose power thankfully. The worst seems like it's over. Got really scary sounding. No trees down from what I was able to tell, but plenty of branches in the road. I won't get complacent about the power, lines may be weakened or loosened tree shrubbery could still fall on them (or even line work to repair other areas could affect us). We'll see. Will inspect the roof tomorrow, but I suspect it's probably ok.

In fairness that was based on the forecast showing it hovering over the area for most of Thursday, as thats no longer the case they may end up revising it for springs. Wouldn't put it past them to open it back up in some capacity, even if its just dining.

Winds have really died down now, over at the boardwalk its just wet now.

Could be completely wrong here so do tell me if so, but the lights on SSE have possibly malfunctioned.

On that youtube stream from the S&D overlooking epcot approximately 4hrs and 40 minutes ago the lights on SSE all went off, then only the very top of them came back on. Previously it was doing its usual cycle. Right now they're still stuck with just the very top ones on, seemingly stuck on white.

Scrub back to around 2am (top corner) and see what you think, either they went into white tophat mode or something messed up.

This is where someone who's studied the nightly activity of SSE can tell me it does this every night 🙈

I’m sure they’re faulty…

Frankly…the WDI quality has been crap.

They need to sweep the decks…but nothing happens until a new ceo is forced in.

…for another day

I'm suspecting it's deliberate, it looks like a hidden Mickey on the top. Or a heart? Although a bit odd that it faces southwest and not south. Maybe pointing in the direction of Tampa? Maybe I'm overthinking this!
