A Delta flight on its way to Orlando is making a very interesting approach... It's travelling a lot quicker than the Silver Airlines flight, but Silver still predicted to get in earlier...
Looks like they have him in a holding pattern.

There are just four flights in the entire world currently en-route to MCO. Expect lots of cancellations today, although we should get more flights in the air as time passes. A few Virgin Atlantic flights are due to depart the UK soon, they're already boarding, and BA are expected to have a flight out later today.

Virgin Atlantic sent all 3 of its flights to MCO today. And the BA flight is currently on Last Call.

The parks have reopened, Silver Airways has become the first plane to land in Orlando, with many, many, many more on the way. I guess it's safe to say that life continues in Central Florida. There's still much to be done outside of the big tourist areas, flooding in areas etc. but I expect that things will return to normality pretty quickly. Unfortunately there are areas hit by Irma that don't have the same luck, but hopefully with international assistance, they too can rebuild.

Hopefully this will be the last major storm to hit in 2017, and let's hope 2018 is not quite as horrific.

I saw that VS27 was late departing from LGW, but it's good that they're all headed that way. I imagine it would be high up in the priority list... after all, when it comes to international airlines, VA is king at MCO - by quite a bit.

How do I see a map like that? Would like to see MIA flights.. they're opening for limited service today.

any updates from within the parks this morning - any signs of damage or changes (other than JC, railroad, and KRR being down)

This is the only one I've seen on Twitter thus far showing clean-up continuing at MK. Apparently the metal detectors have also yet to return, meaning they've got the wands out...

Update: Apparently a tree has fallen on Skipper Canteen.

Before Irma rolled through, she said she was staying in the Riverside area of Jacksonville. Depending on how close to the St. Johns River she was, Riverside, especially along Riverside Avenue was flooded out. She's also probably dealing with a power outage. My parents aren't too far away from that area and they had no power as of last night.

If I were her, checking the WDWMagic thread would be on the low priority list, if only to preserve power on a mobile phone.

Other than lack of power, are your parents okay?
