Full legal name and SS# on both torso and limb(s) in case they get separated
For the few surfers who are on a death wish that are trying to ride the big waves in the next few days , that would be a good idea to write their info on their body parts.

Full legal name and SSN and credit card number and Mother’s maiden name and then snap a picture and send it to me so I can verify that you have it in the right place
If you two are gonna get this frisky…save it till Friday night when your curfew is pushed back past 9 pm 😡

I'm guessing there are lots of discussions going on about what time to pull the plug on Wednesday. Pre-emptively close all day, or something like close at 2PM.

No official announcements have been made yet, have they? Seems like it's only in the past hour, according to Twitter that the Ft. Wilderness stuff has started. But only tent campers so far that can "talk" about moving. Everyone else, just stow their outside stuff.

That seems like a slow walk to me. Reviewing Irma again, it looks like WDW told them 2 days in advance on Thursday, that the campground would be closing on 2PM Saturday. Which is the news I would be expecting to hear now, for a similar timeline. I hope WDW isn't playing with fire here.

Factually It’s against the law to ignore a “mandatory evacuation”

Functionality, in the history of fl evacuations, I don’t think I’ve heard of anyone going to jail just for that.

What you can go to jail for - and is enforced in fl - are other crimes committed within an evacuation zone. It’s an enhanced offense. As as should be.

As noted above - high profile vehicles such as fire trucks and ambulances stop responding when it’s hazardous to the responders.

It means that if Tampa Bay gets the storm surge they're expecting, if you don't evacuate, you might just die.
I'm "Flo-grown" (born and raised/lifelong Floridian) and have seen my fair share of hurricanes, but this one is likely going to be huge, and coupled with Tampa Bay's geography, may prove to be catastrophic for those situated on the barrier islands (think Clearwater Beach, St. Pete Beach, Indian Shores, etc) or along the bay.

If you are reading this post from the Tampa Bay area, please consider leaving.

It is well known that many CM’s of substantial experience - who were let go during the pandemic, have not made it back to their positions. As this storm gains ground, and important decisions will need to be made by WDW, I am interested in how this possible lack of experience in the CM front line (and back offices) will effect the WDW responses as they navigate this tough time.

Charley in 2004 raced past Tampa Bay and went straight for Kissimmee / Orlando. This monster is looking to pound Tampa Bay for more than a day, storm surges , , driving rains , winds , and just may destroy what is in its path. Anyone who defies the curfew should finalize their will.

They will probably know as much as someone visiting from the mid west that has never experienced a hurricane-------not much

Urging people to be smart, careful, and to take every cautionary step is helpful. Offering strong, clear advice is helpful. Relating relevant personal experience is helpful. Sensationalism and gloating doomsaying is NOT helpful, and some of this thread is gleefully indulging in those impulses. It’s a serious situation, let’s try to be firm and levelheaded.

I’m sure there are “playbooks” for these things- most corps have them. I just know, when things look crazy, I love to have people on board that have “ridden the storm out” before!
