Hurricane Ian expected to impact Florida (updates and related discussions)

OMG need to vent on how horrible humans can be. I don’t know if any of you have heard about this woman on Twitter who’s getting tons of PR looking for her mother who didn’t evacuate on Fort Myers beach. Here’s her

Anyways poor lady Is now also a victim of a possible scam. I’m attaching a screenshot of a text message she got of someone claiming to have found her mother and who then put her up at a hotel and now needs to be paid back. ! Thank God this lady is smart enough to question this and someone else on Twitter confirmed that the telephone number is a burner phone number.

I mean this just totally sickens me. There’s a good chance this woman’s mother is not alive seeing where she lived; So she’s on a two story new build so there’s hope. I believe a few pages back someone posted the original Twitter post were her mother had some pictures of the first floor being flooded.

Really? If I have spent thousands, planned, did their reservation system only to be held at the door but resort guest get in? If the roads are that flood and dangerous then, for the sake of their cast, they shouldn't open at all.

There are times they have turned offsite guests away before. Many times, in the past. Traditionally they've only guaranteed park entry to onsite guests (and even then, guaranteed comes with caveats). This is nothing new.

Cast members are being told that if their shift starts at or later then 9PM, that they are to report to work.
So if they’re in Kissimmee where there’s a curfew, they have to hang out at WDW before &/or after their shift? That could be all night for those starting at 6am. I would hope there will be some leeway for those affected.
