I could see that. I would like the Wonder to go somewhere besides Alaska as well but with that being a goldmine as well I doubt they will leave anytime soon. It would be interesting if Disney was to give us another ship. In the summer there are many places that it could be based from, I could see the other seasons being an issue though. They aren’t that hot in Miami and definitely not in Galveston so they just gotta find their place.

Wonder will do Alaska as you say its a goldmine.

Now Dream isn't tied to PC from 2015!!!

So Dream could go on some travels, and leave Fantasy doing 3/4/7 nights from PC.

I don’t see it happening. Dream is probably the diamond-mine for Disney, really raking it in. Short cruises are quite popular especially considering how expensive Disney is. If there is any chance it would be for the summer and I can only see it doing Europe.

Yes Dream is a good workhorse and brings many new cruisers in on three and four night cruises they turn around two new sets if cruisers each week, but Fantasy can do that.

I am just saying it is an option now from 2015' if they do it, it's down to them but with extra port calls at PC in winter by Magic, then it's a possibility and before the new ships they often went to one ship only during the summer .

@WDW1974 keeps mentioning that one or two new ships are going to happen soon. Since he has pretty good information on the theme parks, this sounds like there might be something to it. So with another new ship there are more possibilities for new itineraries.

There have been ongoing rumours about two new ships that are a class between the classic magic style and the new dream class. It will happen at some point the question is when. Now even if there was an announcement soon it would be a year or do pre prediction and wait list in the shipyard then production so it would be years before service.

Will it happen? Yes, when, let's see.

Definitely a possibility, the one ship in the summer makes sense, demand for Caribbean cruises goes down majorly because of hurricane fears. I think it would be very interesting if Disney did 4, 5 and 7 nighters during the summer season.

4 Nighters visit Nassau and double stop at Castaway Cay
5 Nighters visit Grand Turk, Castaway Cay, Etc…
7 Nighters visit same as now.

This could give Carnival a run for there money if Disney was to price it right.

It is an option for them, they have made extra calls at port canaveral both new ships were tied to PC but Dream will be free of that from 2015, now in winter they are overselling the carribean now, but they could move three ships out for the summer months wonder to Alaska and one to NY and Canada and one to Europe and Baltic.

I was just thinking… lets assume the rumors are true for the Magic:

June-September: Europe but end with Northern Europe cruises.
September- October: Sail from Quebec for a month (sort of like San Juan).
October- December: Reposition to PC for Western Caribbean. Makes most sense to me.

Baltic cruises will be mid June to end July, Med cruises in August.

Just back from a week on the Fantasy. I had to book a placeholder in the Med on the Magic while on the ship as there was no info yet on Baltic trips.

Thank you, do not expect any confirmation until early next year, ie any release if it is circa December will be fantasy and dream.

I would think they will announce first half of Magic and Wonder cruises. Don’t expect anything surprising there. Magic will probably be in PC and Wonder in Miami. Summer and after will be the most interesting.

They may do that with dream and fantasy but not summer Baltic's etc.

So according to Disney Cruise Line Blog apparently Disney was in talks with Tortola to get berthing space and got it with NCL. I am beyond confused on what the possible route could be. I don’t see the Fantasy leaving St. Thomas and St. Maarten. Like I said, I wouldn’t be surprised for longer 9-12 day cruises from PC or a ship based out of San Juan. Maybe the Dream is leaving Port Canaveral.

We actually stopped in Tortola on an Eastern in 2009. We didn't stop in St. Martin, just Tortola and St. Thomas.

I would think replacing St. Thomas would be better. Phillipsburg, St. Maarten is so much nicer from what I understand. Like what they do now, St. Maarten, San Juan but St. Maarten Tortola.

A Baltic cruise would be cool, utterly cool. We're doing the Mediterranean this year. If we do the Baltic in 2015, I imagine we'll have to do the Oriental, the Vermont, and then the Connecticut, etc . . . My only concern would be Marvin Gardens. And I already love staying at the Boardwalk.
