So I tried listen to that podcast, and I guess I'm just not in the demo because they came off to me like a group of fratty dudebros. Maybe I've just not listened enough to get a feel, but 10-20mins into an episode my "dudebro" alarm goes off. As far as theme park podcasts go, I'm having a tough time finding one that's balanced. I'm a mom, but I'm not a soccer mom, ya know, so those don't click with me at all. My favorite's are and Disney Dish. I also kind of want one that's broader (I'm genuinely interested in the topic) and covers more than just Disney and Universal. What's weird to me is that I've come across more Disney podcasts with males hosts (with the occasional female guest) than not. The ones that do have female hosts, while they do focus on the nit and gritty of planning, seem to skew towards the uber-mom set. I'm curious as to why that is. Hmmmm. /endsidetrack

People want followers to build up an audience for their message so when they say or post something it gets in front of a lot of people in a trusted channel

Lots of folks tweet links that are tracked, so they get paid for traffic. Not talking huge money but some. But yeah, you don't get paid for followers and it is more about ego/branding and driving traffic to sites then any money making enterprise directly on twitter.

One of those... You can build products that people want to buy or you can build a brand that people want to buy products from.

Okay, I'm sorry, but jt is in the same breath as tikiman, HTF, Lee and 74?

No doubt he/she is passionate about Disney and theme parks. But he has no inside info and he certainly does not have the powers of foresight. The man/woman basically throws a bunch of darts at a board and hopes that one sticks. I would have the powers of foresight to if I stuck to general statements about most things.

In reality, the "insiders" here all have their specialties, and its great that we have them, but that does not make any one more important than other members. The insiders give us stuff to talk about, and the rest of us...talk. Not saying you, or jt are not important members, or that I don't trust you. I do, but insiders are insiders.

exactly....lol..im no insider or expert on Disney I teach American History and im a head high school football coach so unless you want to talk about Jefferson and Adams and their friendship or know how to combo block a 3 technique on inside zone im not a lot of help

edit: I do have a blast on these boards though and appreciate all of the diverse opinons

They said they trust jt! :hilarious: Seriously, and nothing personal, jt is a hoot to read and even has some good ideas, but an insider on the level of '74, Lee, Martin, Tikiman, articos, and drew81. No. Just no.

If you had been here since 2004 (and before that actually when I had a different name) you would better understand. I have always made it clear I am not an insider and have zero connections to anyone on the inside. I just connect dots and engage in conjecture. This is a forum based on the discussion of rumors. Thank you for your time.

I've lurked since 2008, and been a member since 2010. I think you give yourself too much credit. Whats the benefit of saying a bunch of general things, claiming you "connected the dots" and then go intentionally poke the bear telling everyone how right you were? Isn't "connecting the dots" something is board is for?

No doubt, you bring up interesting and discussion worthy points, but as I was saying, you are not an insider. Nor do you claim to be, hence my post. Absolutely, this is a rumor discussion forum. I understand that, its why I signed up. But there is a way to discuss rumors without antagonizing individuals or making it an ego/personal pride thing.

Can we get some clarification here? From SOMEONE? lol. I doubt a single thing E-Ticket worthy is coming anytime soon but this endless speculation on the boards is because so many things get dropped and no one is either confirming or debunking them.
