How to not get wet on Splash Mountain?

Its been a while since I have ridden, so I don't remember how wet you get and if there is a position in the log to limit the amount. My wife and I are going in three weeks and she has this concern. I'm making her go on it no matter what :animwink:, but if she doesn't get that wet she may want to go another round :drevil:. Please help.

Further back the better for the final splash, but you may get soaked elsewhere - the left side will miss a little of the splash cannons as you sail across the briar patch and from the waterfall before the finale - assuming the effects arn`t toned down at this time of year.

A poncho.

Any seat can get wet, it depends on where the log is when certain sprays occur and how much spray comes up over the front on the big drop or is sloshed over the sides. There is no way to guarantee she won't get wet other than to not ride at all. A poncho will mitigate most of the risk.

I think people that wear ponchos on water rides are funny. If you don't want to get wet don't ride otherwise what is the point. Getting wet is part of the experience. (ok start the bashing):lookaroun:(

If you really want to get wet, we always sit on the very front row. The water even splashes in over the front to get your shoes good and soaked (wear crocs or rubber flip flops).

Have fun and enjoy my favorite ride!!!

Sometimes I wear a poncho. I love to ride it at night when you can walk on over and over. I poncho works on a chilly night (or when I suddenly realize I have the camera).

Not old, just vintage.
Don't ride it. :lookaroun

If you sit in the back and move as close to the center as possible you won't get that wet.

I was there last saturday, and I get wet everytime I ride. The most coming from the water cannons as you pass the briar patch!

But like everyone else is saying, dont ride it if you dont plan on getting wet, i mean that is the whole idea right?

I don't mind if my body gets wet, but I didn't want my hair to get ruined, so I tried to put my hubby's baseball cap over the top of my head. Worked a bit.

lol i think im gonna b the only 1 countering ur view, b/c every 1 else agrees w/ u (strangely enough i was thinkin more people would bash too)

1st off if its cold i dont wanna get went, n even if its hot, still i dont really like getting that water on me, it isnt exactly rain water or dasani

2nd off it might be part of the experience, but what if it's a part you dont want? eg I like to ride space mountain with my eyes closed b/c it makes you dizzier (b/c i hardly feel woozy, if at all :()

3rd what if someone likes to ride splash mountain b/c its a fun ride, its long, the nastalsia (sp) of splash mountain, so that they can ride all the rides in the park, the lines are short, etc. case and point theres a lot more reasons to ride a water ride other then getting soaked, some people just like the RIDE

...just my two pennies....
