Home made autograph books

Hmm. That's a thought too. I'll definitely get the autographs on index cards so that I can use them in my book, but I don't know if I'll make a small autograph book or just use them in my big book.

It was easy. I used most in my autograph album - it's pretty thick! But some ended up in my big book. I also got the kids to each get autographs of the same characters and then I could choose which one looked nicer.
That's a great idea! Though, we don't have kids...yet! Can you imagine two adults getting in line and asking for two autographs! ....:lookaroun...

Well it would make perfect sense if you each got separate pictures and then asked if you could get a group shot with both of you. :lookaroun

The small book was so much fun to do that I would definitely recommend it. But now that it has most every character in there, I use the autographs in my big albums.

Of course now that my kids aren't as excited about characters it's hard to get any autographs at all!

If you each have your own book they would sign two!! Just ignore any dirty looks behind you because some of those families will be sending up 5 kids with 5 books!!

You know, we DO get bad looks. Like they're thinking, "Why are they taking up time with this character when my kids need to experience the meet 'n greets now?!" We're just kids at heart though, so as long as the characters make it fun, we feel like we just fit right in!

quite frankly I'd rather have a couple of adults with me than the super large party that wants to take a million different pictures.

We will sometimes take one with the kids and then one with all of us, but we really try to be quick about it so that they can move on to the next guest.

When we get in line for an autograph its 1)My DD 2)My DS 3) My 21 year old sister 4) My 19 year old sister and then sometimes my sisters fiance or myslef would like a picture as well. I think that this process takes us like 20 min. So word to the wise don't get in line behind the group of 10 people because half of them are getting autographs or pictures taken. LOL:ROFLOL:

I am going to be so sad on the day that we are those people. Sam and I love meeting characters as much as the kids. We are kind of like stalkers, we get super excited to see one out that we haven't met before. So far the kids are just as excited to see most of them, but I sense the day is coming when they aren't.

Although, then you just have to get them involved. We use Lexie as our runner. She runs up in line to catch a spot before they close up the line. That way she feels involved in the process even if she isn't so thrilled to meet the characters. We make sure to make a fuss over what a good job she did securing our place in line.

 As long as I get my turn it's all good!

The only time it really annoyed me was when we were waiting to see pooh and eeyore at the studios. They were going to be leaving and the people ahead of us knew they were leaving, yet they still took 10 different pictures so that we didn't get to meet them. I was a bit annoyed after having waited in line for 20 minutes. But it's life and I certainly don't let it ruin my vacation. :)

How old are your kids? I just wonder when the "magic" of the characters will wear off. I hope it never does. Never did for me.

My MIL told my DD the other day that the characters are only people in costumes. She came home crying so hard. Isnt that like telling people that thier is no santa??? Except for us thats worse. She kept saying the princesses are REAL mom because they talk to me and tell me about thier life. Grandma is wrong!!!!!!! I could have just gone over thier and kicked my MIL:mad:

My kids are 13, 7, 5, and 4. My oldest obviously knows the characters are in costumes, but I'm trying to get her to preserve the magic for the little ones, especially my youngest who really thinks she is meeting the real thing.

I might have kicked my mil for spilling the beans on that one.
