To be fair this movie did not need to be a masterpiece to be successful as the fans have been clamoring for it for years. All you needed was the 3 original actresses and the money will come
THIS. Most fans of this franchise that is ALL they cared about. They provided exactly what most the people who wanted to watch would want. Of course it's not as good as the first, but as a fun movie where you see the sisters again? Yeah, did that.

I probably shouldn’t post this but since it’s not really political and just concerns a whack job, why not?

What blood sacrifices is she talking about? The Sisters just suck souls. Good clean fun. She'd probably lose her mind over a Rob Zombie movie.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was WAAAAAY darker and more steeped in the occult and evil magic than either Hocus Pocus film. The targeting of this film feels very random.

"How do you like them apples?"

Not that his belongs in this thread anymore and should rather be in the She-Hulk thread, but that is wrong.

That is the overall chart which lumps all streaming content together and not specifically Originals.

Here is the chart for Originals for the same time period which shows She-Hulk at number 5, ie climbing the charts from the previous week.

The apples are tasting just fine....

The only bits with any real bite are holdover elements from the original, which almost certainly would have been scrubbed if this movie had no original to refer to, you know?

I'd say this is a broader criticism I'd hold against "Childrens entertainment" in general these days. The gloves were off way more in the 70-90's. Society has become increasingly anxious about exposing kids to anything.

Pixar actually has historically skirted around that a bit though.
