The Bad

Too many close shots
overused bad special effects and not enough practical effects
overused sets and lack of real locations
unlikable, underdeveloped main characters, with no connection to the witches
lack of original characters (Max, Dani, Allison, Binx, Ice and Jay)
lame reason for bringing them back
uneventful entrance by the Sandersons after coming back
inappropriate musical numbers
it didn’t feel Halloween themed enough
The ending and many other scenes were shot separately

There’s a few exceptions but I think we‘d all agree that sequels are usually worse than the original.

The exception to the rule may be long series, I think the Potter movies got better as they made more, same with the Marvel movies, etc… even that has exceptions though, the Jurassic series got worse the longer it kept going.

Yeah, most sequels aren't as good as the originals. Especially with Horror films, most of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies stink.

To be fair this movie did not need to be a masterpiece to be successful as the fans have been clamoring for it for years. All you needed was the 3 original actresses and the money will come

THIS. Most fans of this franchise that is ALL they cared about. They provided exactly what most the people who wanted to watch would want. Of course it's not as good as the first, but as a fun movie where you see the sisters again? Yeah, did that.
