To Disney, the placement is irrelevant, he just needs to be in there somewhere...

Disney is literally adding back an original character that the fans have wanted and now they get blamed for wanting to sell Merch?

I suppose we could have levied the same argument about Pirates, though not as specific when they had the mist image of Davy Jones or Blackbeard at the very beginning of the ride, before we "go back in time" via the drop. It isn't as obvious though.

I did think about that effect and its relation to this. Cool effect, but it did change the tone and pacing of that part of the ride.

The ideal place is where he is at Disneyland outside the attic on a balcony.

Eh, it’s not ideal there either. It takes away from leaving the attic and revealing the graveyard.

They were removed because imagineers wanted the sound effects to "Tell The Story" after the Ghost Host said Shh, Listen!

If people don't care that is one thing.

PLQ was indeed an unmitigated disaster and the queue should be completely re-imagined. The New Hitchhiking Ghosts are also pretty bad.

And the insiders on other sites will not give us a straight answer on this one question either.. there not at liberty to say or they don’t want to get someone in trouble or they are not going to get in to it right now.So why exactly can’t he be placed outside the attic balcony like Disneyland and the answer is we are not going to get a answer to that .

My vote is a bit of the old with touches of Tokyo's for a queue that holds.more.peoppe but still a bit subtlety graveyard hill like the original.

It could have been worse. They wanted interactive queues for rides like POTC and several other headliners. Luckily the plans to add more were scrapped when MyMagic+ turned out to be such a financial headache. Thankfully the creative team responsible is no longer with WDI.

I distinctly remember hearing him reference Leota at some point though… I could’ve sworn it was after the seance before the ballroom and he said something along the lines of “Madame Leota, the spirits have received your sympathetic vibrations.” I remember hearing him saying her name. Was this ever in the OG DL audio? I may be remembering it from a YouTube audio recording or something but I could’ve sworn he used her name until I rode recently

It was on and off at Disneyland in the mid-90s through the early 2000s. I think even now it sometimes comes back for a brief period after coming back from Haunted Mansion Holiday.

I mean we have Hatbox Ghost the Ornament, Hatbox Ghost the MagicBand+, Hatbox Ghost the Spirit Jersey, Hatbox Ghost the long sleeve Tshirt...
