Does he reference Madame Leota in the current script? Those lines were removed from the DL Mansion in 1969 and never were at WDW.

No. That was also never in the WDW version and was only there for a relatively brief time at DL.Does he reference Madame Leota in the current script?
Disney is literally adding back an original character that the fans have wanted and now they get blamed for wanting to sell Merch? We all know there's only one reason they are adding Hatbox Ghost...

To Disney, the placement is irrelevant, he just needs to be in there somewhere...
I did think about that effect and its relation to this. Cool effect, but it did change the tone and pacing of that part of the ride.I suppose we could have levied the same argument about Pirates, though not as specific when they had the mist image of Davy Jones or Blackbeard at the very beginning of the ride, before we "go back in time" via the drop. It isn't as obvious though.
Eh, it’s not ideal there either. It takes away from leaving the attic and revealing the graveyard. The ideal place is where he is at Disneyland outside the attic on a balcony.
Shame. Those parts of the narration would have provided some good story beats. Odd though, I could have sworn I heard both one time or another at WDW's mansion.No. That was also never in the WDW version and was only there for a relatively brief time at DL.
They were removed because imagineers wanted the sound effects to "Tell The Story" after the Ghost Host said Shh, Listen!Shame. Those parts of the narration would have provided some good story beats.
Not really.Eh, it’s not ideal there either. It takes away from leaving the attic and revealing the graveyard.
PLQ was indeed an unmitigated disaster and the queue should be completely re-imagined. The New Hitchhiking Ghosts are also pretty bad.The fact does remain that it was intentional that the ghosts are slowly revealed and do not fully materialized until after Leota in the ballroom.
Script changes happen. But we do know it was and has been designed that way.
If people don't care that is one thing.
The interactive queue for.me was always tonally wrong and against the same idea. Leota headstone was subtle by comparison. We now have ghosts full on talking to us and sneezing in the queue.
And the insiders on other sites will not give us a straight answer on this one question either.. there not at liberty to say or they don’t want to get someone in trouble or they are not going to get in to it right now.So why exactly can’t he be placed outside the attic balcony like Disneyland and the answer is we are not going to get a answer to that .The ideal place is where he is at Disneyland outside the attic on a balcony. Our insiders have said it is not possible to put him there in the WDW version but have yet to explain why.
The interactive queue at WDW feels like a McDonald’s playground with a haunted mansion theme to it. It’s all jokes and gags and takes away from the attraction more than it adds. I wonder how many attractions wdi could have built instead of the interactive elements they installed for mansion, big thunder, Pooh, pan, and spaceThe interactive queue for.me was always tonally wrong and against the same idea. It could have been worse. They wanted interactive queues for rides like POTC and several other headliners. Luckily the plans to add more were scrapped when MyMagic+ turned out to be such a financial headache. Thankfully the creative team responsible is no longer with WDI.The interactive queue at WDW feels like a McDonald’s playground with a haunted mansion theme to it. Mandela effect? LolShame. Those parts of the narration would have provided some good story beats. Odd though, I could have sworn I heard both one time or another at WDW's mansion.
It was on and off at Disneyland in the mid-90s through the early 2000s. I think even now it sometimes comes back for a brief period after coming back from Haunted Mansion Holiday.Shame. Those parts of the narration would have provided some good story beats. Odd though, I could have sworn I heard both one time or another at WDW's mansion.

The merchandise isn’t new. It’s been selling without the figure in Florida. You can't tell me you don't think that had SOME influence on the decision... especially when you go onto Shop Disney and look at all the new Haunted Mansion merch and see how much of it either features Hatbox Ghost or includes Hatbox Ghost... I mean we have Hatbox Ghost the Ornament, Hatbox Ghost the MagicBand+, Hatbox Ghost the Spirit Jersey, Hatbox Ghost the long sleeve Tshirt...
Couldn't merchandise "Thunder Mountain Exlopding Lift Hill Effect" like that...
Yes, but it'll sell more in Florida now.The merchandise isn’t new. It’s been selling without the figure in Florida.
Great video of the original ghost host recording sessions with Paul Frees.
