You can't tell me you don't think that had SOME influence on the decision... especially when you go onto Shop Disney and look at all the new Haunted Mansion merch and see how much of it either features Hatbox Ghost or includes Hatbox Ghost... I mean we have Hatbox Ghost the Ornament, Hatbox Ghost the MagicBand+, Hatbox Ghost the Spirit Jersey, Hatbox Ghost the long sleeve Tshirt...

Hatbox Ghost the Flame Thrower, the kids love it.

And I want one!

The interactive queue at WDW feels like a McDonald’s playground with a haunted mansion theme to it. It’s all jokes and gags and takes away from the attraction more than it adds. I wonder how many attractions wdi could have built instead of the interactive elements they installed for mansion, big thunder, Pooh, pan, and space
You heard it here folks. Rip it all out and back to metal stantions and chain with kids getting yelled at every 4.3 mins to not sit on it. Yeah, that's better.

You need a Happy Meal!

Mandela effect? Lol

I distinctly remember hearing him reference Leota at some point though… I could’ve sworn it was after the seance before the ballroom and he said something along the lines of “Madame Leota, the spirits have received your sympathetic vibrations.” I remember hearing him saying her name. Was this ever in the OG DL audio? I may be remembering it from a YouTube audio recording or something but I could’ve sworn he used her name until I rode recently
This was absolutely said!

Seeing this video.....it REALLY will be two major set pieces (the hallway and Hattie) competing with each other. I'm not a fan.
I think its going to depend on if its right up against the side of the hallway, or a little further down to the left?,,,That space is somewhat larger than I thought. If he is down slightly further and not on top of the hall maybe it wont be so bad. But I agree I like the hallway standing out on its own without a distraction.

DL's placement works in part because he's sort of appears as we turn the corner whereas with this placement I'm struggling to imagine how he'll be presented. Do we see HGB on approach, off in the distance waiting our turn to see him or will his placement be done in such a way that he's hidden from view and only appears when the doombuggy passes his scene; a startle effect?

It would actually be better if they swapped him and the knight so that he was hidden by the blind corner as you enter the scene. With him replacing the chair you’ll see him just standing there a mile away. I’d actually rather then place him at the end of the hallway fading in and out of view like Melanie and the Phantom over in Paris

The issue with HBG (if you want to call it an issue) is that, unless they change the timing at WDW, the effect (head moves from box to head [or reverse]) occurs every ~8 seconds, so to see the effect happen even once, HBG needs to be in view for at least 8 seconds (16 seconds if you want to be sure to be able to see head to box and back to head again). If you watch current ride throughs of WDW's HM, the Donald Chair is in view for just about ~10 second (more or less ideal time to appreciate the HBG effect with the same programing as Disneyland).

He said, "The happy haunts have received your sympathetic vibrations and are beginning to materialize. They're assembling for a swinging wake."
Source is an mp3 off the original souvenir album (LP) from 1969.

Agreed. Makes more sense to move the knight and put Hatbox there. That way you get the initial startle of his appearance but you have enough time to look at his effect before the doombuggy moves on. It renders the Endless Hallway rather pointless but then so would putting him anywhere near it. It definitely makes more sense to have him placed before the hallway vs directly after it.

This is all really stupid. I don't know what WDI is thinking! Heck, even placing him near the "Coffin Occupant" would be a better spot than the hallway. And yes I am in the bargaining stage dammit!
