For the Resort Airline Check-In Service, the following are the only participating Airlines:

American Airlines
Delta (including Song)
Continential
United (including Ted)

No new airlines have been added to the original agreement.

Hope this helps! :sohappy:

Jet-Blue has now signed on as one of the Resort Airline Check-In airlines.

OK first thing plan a trip to WDW!!! I Am assuming that is together!! As soon as you have your flight information call Disney or your travel agent ( However you booked your trip) and sign up for DME. It really is that simple!!! Belle

Everyone is saying that you get your DME stuff in the mail like 5-10 days before your trip. Well, on July 23rd I got like my entire voucher with the luggage tags, and my trip is for August 27th.

Should I be expecting something else in the mail later, or are they know sending out the information and vouchers early?

What exactly do the luggage tags look like?? Is Tink or the Castle on them?? or is it a yellow tag with a bar code enclosed in a seperate DME booklet?? Belle

Not a problem!! Always glad to help!!! Your DME tags will actually be in a seperate DME booklet that will come to you. Enclosed in this booklet is your ticket for round trip transfers via DME, the Tags which are perforated so they can be removed and some other information I dont recall at the moment. I believe JP Von Drake had posted pics of both so we could tell the difference!! Belle

Um, how long before the trip do the DME tags usually come? I'm seeing up to 2 days before the trip. I leave in 6 days, and still nothing. Since I leave early Monday morning, it's only 4 days left that they can come. How long should I wait before I call to find out what's up? Don't want to be impatient, but I want to make sure I'm golden before I go.

I would call today. I wouldnt be htting any panic buttons or anything but you should have gotten them already!!!! In any event the worst that would happen is that Disney wouldnt be able to automatically pull your luggage. You would either have to pull it yourself or give Disney a copy of your luggage claim check that you get from your original boarding airport. As searching through a ton of luggage that looks exactly the same can take a while for the Disney reps, Id advise putting something really unique on your luggage such as some yarn attached to it, or another identifying item that will make it stand out. That will be good for you for when you are coming home as well. Belle

Yarn's good, but I've always found biohazard stickers to work the best to get the most attention for my luggage.

Thanks for the advice Belle, I'm going to give a call right now.

Biohazard lables may be a good way to get attention but I think with the current atmosphere This may not be the best idea!!! It was pretty funny though!!! Stickers of a less volitile nature might work out a bit better in that you wont have the Homeland Security Teams tearing apart oyour luggage!!! Belle

You mean...those dogs weren't going after all the bacon in my luggage?? Whew, and to think I wasn't going to bring any this time.

Called, not exactly the most helpful. After getting bounced around three times, I'm told it's an independant company that does the Magic Express tags and just to check in luggage as normal, then go to the check in at MCO. Guess this means I have to pull my own bags?

Hey there I know I had seen another number for DME around here!!! As previously posted by Mr JPVonDrake:
call DME toll free 1-866-599-0951.
That was in a direct response to people not getting their booklets!!!! I hope this helps!!!! Let me know what the response is please!!!
And I loved the bacon comment!!! Very funny!!!! Belle

Belle,

Thanks for the second #. That was the one I got when I called Disney's customer service. Basically, I got a woman who, after telling her the problem said "Soooo.....". Then she told me that it's an outside company that handles the luggage tags and to just go to the Disney service desk on the first floor at Orlando Airport. Honestly, the woman made me feel really uncomfortable about leaving my luggage with the Magic Express and I think I'll be taking care of it myself.

Thank you for the help! It is very appreciated!

Of course!!! Anything I can do to help I will!!! I think that was the incorrect answer that the woman gave you though. I would have gotten all New York Attitude on her and informed her to check if the originals had been sent and if they had to please send me another copy as the first set hadnt been received. Why cant people do the job they are supposed to sometimes??? DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Belle

Yes and No

My sister just got back last Wednesday from WDW. The trip using the express service to the hotel was great. The trip back was not. The bus was supposed to pick them up at 6:45pm. After waiting 45 minutes, a town car was sent to get them. (at no charge)

They had a baby who was fussy and sleepy and was going to get fed at the airport. It all worked out fine with a little annoyance and frustration. Disney took care of them so it was fine in the end.

From the way this woman was making it sound, Disney doesn't have a thing to do with their own service. It could have been I woke her from a nap, but she was making it sound like this independant company was in complete control of the whole service and there was nothing Disney could do to help me.

Well, luckily I still do have a couple more days, but out of all my dealings with Disney, this is the first time I've ever had any kind of problem, or received a response that was so lazy.
