Hall of Presidents all set to go...

Cool pic. I find it amusing that they have him standing in the middle of a crowd of 19th. century aristocratic white men. They should have him standing next to the modern presidents (Reagan, Clinton, etc.)

From the picture that looks like his placement. But could it just be the angle it is on?

If there is ANYTHING that has been positive with the Magic Kingdom over the past 5 years or so, it has been the refurbishing of the classic attractions. IASW, POTC, Mansion were all either fairly well done (POTC) or very well done (IASW and Mansion). I did love the previous film portion because it was one of the most quotable things in all of WDW, but I agree that shortening the film and getting to the AA's quicker is the best decision.

I really expect this to be a fantastic change. Now hopefully I'll start hearing less about these interactive queue elements over at Space Mountain (which I think are TERRIBLE at Soarin') and I can start getting my hopes up again for that refurbishment as well.

I would have to agree, other than the POTC refurb, which I personally despise.

If ranked from 1-10(10 being the best):

IASW: 8
POTC: 3.5
HM: 20

I also agree that I am incredibly worried about Space. From everything I've been hearing here, and the few things I've heard from the inside, the ball has been dropped.

Looks absolutely amazing. I mean, they were not kidding when they said how state-of-the-art and 'real' he looked. Looking forward to seeing him in action.

He actually puts the other older AAs to shame around him. He looks just so much more life-like than them. From an earlier post, he is said to be next to Lincoln, so Lincoln must be off to his right...

Can't we move beyond always noticing a person's skin color? :brick:

And Barak is aristocratic, so it works fine. And he's looking left. :zipit:

I hope you are wrong or there will be unintended consequences.

The Sparrow AA's were great, but yes there were some mistakes there as well. The exterior work (mainly removing Pete) was kind of a head scratcher and the removal of the Skull at the drop was a dumb decision IMO.

That's not what I like to hear. The current Space queue was great and just needed some freshening up and if they wanted to enclose the loading area queue that's fine. But seriously, those annoying additions made to Soarin' are not what is needed at Space Mountain.

Also I must say it does make sense why they added those at Soarin because that is the slowest moving standby line in all of WDW. I just happen to not like them, but I don't think it was necessarily a mistake by Disney to put them there.

I'll never forget about 4 years ago when a group of my friends went down to WDW, we walked out of HoP and my friend (honest to God) asked how all of those actors stand so still on stage and are able to do it all day. HAHA!:ROFLOL: Needless to say he was teased and harrassed the rest of the trip. But I guess good work WDW to at least fool some people into thinking they are real. :hammer:

My favorite is sitting in the lobby waiting for the show to start, and eavesdropping on the people around me trying to guess the names of the presidents in the portraits (they're usually wrong), or stating incorrect trivia about our presidents ("that's thomas jefferson isn't it? was he our 4th or 5th president?" [neither]..."where's benjamin franklin at? i don't see him!" [never a president]) :ROFLOL:

It's a little scary...

I just saw 2 previews of the new show this afternoon.

Only my opinion of course but I think they've done a brilliant job. The storyline is very different with much more focus on the president and a little less history lesson. Lincoln in the Gwttysburg address is absolutely amazing.

I see another winner here.

:hurl::hurl::hurl: I see enough of him on TV I think I can wait four years before I go in HOP again.
If the previous administrations presence in HOP didn't stop me from entering, then the current administrations presence shouldn't stop you either.

And if you have a problem with what's on the TV, do what I do: CHANGE THE CHANNEL.
