Oh, isn't that nice of Nancy to lend her outfits.

As for the other new stuff, sounds great! I love how Washington's speech and Obama's will create a full circle effect and give the show a cohesiveness and relevancy to the individuals displayed it was severely lacking in versions 2 and 3.

I was initially annoyed that Lincoln's original speech was not going to be used, but I have a feeling this version will be fine without it. Plus making the film portion shorter will hopefully lessen the number of historical accuracies and verging off topic.

Very excited for this, I want pics and video on the afternoon of June 28th people (looking at you Servo!)!
He'll be there.

And I agree in full...This is shaping up to be a quality WDI work. I wonder how long it will be.

funfact: Hall of Presidents is actually referenced in the movie

"Welcome to the Hall of Presidents!" - Keanu Reeves

I haven't watched that movie in such a long time.. Gotta go back and watch it one weekend...

Looking forward to seeing HoP in October.... Can't wait.... Should be awesome...

Sounds good so far. I'm glad it is being distinguished from AA. Love that three presidents speak. As Conundrum pointed out, if this is on par with the HM refurb than Liberty Square is pretty much 100% and WDI can move to another "land". And I think that is exactly what they will do!

PS- I now believe removing the characters from the tavern was all part of this overall plan. Liberty Square is now very 1971-ish. And that is good news! :sohappy:

Change from WDI we can believe in. :D

IASW 2005 refurb was done very well

as has been the various splash mtn and thunder mtn refurbs

HM and others....

Spc Mtn!

Now it just leaves the CoP as the last classic attraction at the MK in need of a face lift... :lookaroun

I am looking forward to Morgan Freeman's narration and a new show....I did enjoy the original history part of the hall of presidents 1971-1993..didn't care for the second version of the show rewritten by a friend of Michael Eisners...so I am looking forward to a shorter, more direct show about the history of the presidency, democracy, etc

I am SO excited about this. It's funny because last year when my husband and I went, I said to him, wouldn't it be amazing if little kids are able to come in here next year and see Obama standing up there? Obviously the fact that he's the first African-American president will be nothing new to them, but I think children physically seeing him standing amongst 43 white men, will give them the full impact of how far our country has come and just how significant his election was. Whether you agree with his politics or not, or voted or didn't vote for him, I think him being up there is an amazing lesson for all the millions of children visiting Disney to see - that anything is possible for anyone in this country...:sohappy:

Can't wait!

It was a Saturn V. Trust the Sentinel to always get it right.

Not quite sure how you can mistake a Saturn V to be the Space Shuttle. Pretty big difference between the two. Now if it was the difference between a Saturn V vs another like type rocket engile like Polaris or Atlas, then ok.

Maybe they changed the Saturn V to the Shuttle, as the film update?

I've gotta say that I just might be inspired to go for the experience of the new show . . . for the first time in decades. The report sounds promising. :)

HOP has always been one of my favorite attractions. I'm so glad that they've given it some needed love and expanded on the strength of the show! Can't wait to see it on my next trip!

I'm looking forward to seeing the refurbished Hall of Presidents and the new President Obama figure.

We never went in HoP for years because it was....boring.
Then one night in the Magic Kingdom we said, 'Hey. Let's try it again.'
So we started in and, ironically, a CM out front dressed in a colonial outfit told us it was temporarilly down for technical reasons.

+ George Washington stands and speaks for the first time in the Hall of Presidents. He is voiced by David Morse, who portrayed Washington in the HBO series John Adams. His lines are an actual quote from Washington, on how he felt as he was sworn in.

Oh wow! I'm so happy they chose David Morse to do Washington's voice, he was perfect in the John Adams mini series. Way to go Disney! :D

The rest of the refurb sounds fantastic too, I'm so excited to see it when it opens.

Yes, great choice of actors. You just get the sense that David Morse is one of those rare stars that is just decent through and through. I'll second what you said, "Way to go Disney!"
