Half the MK is "down"

Let's make sure we are painting a clear picture for everyone who wasn't at the MK today. Everyone knew Space was going to be down, its been on the calendar for months. BTM, Splash and HM were all down for no more than 1 hour each. At one point all 3 were down at the same time for about a 30 min. time period shortly after 1:00. Considering the MK is open till 2 am with EMH tonight I would like to know what YOU would do if you were Guest Relations? Yes the timing sucks but grab a Fastpass to Thunder or Splash, go grab lunch or visit another area of the park. Come back in an hour or so and Fastpass the other other attraction. So lets all play Guest Relations for a minute... what would you do?

Id go and tell them how I felt about the situation which Im sure a lot of people who were there did. But since you arent guest relations, you wont have to hear my story or all the others.

Splash Mountain- One of those pesky critters in the ride wanted to reinact the scene from Caddyshack.. If you have seen it.. Its the pool scene

You might not be too far off. We just got back from staying at POR and yesterday the main pool was closed for over an hour due to a reenactment of that Caddyshack scene, but it was actually caused by a parent not having a swim diaper on a baby.

The the night before, it got shut down for about an hour due to a baby throwing up in the water!

Needless to say, we used the quiet pool!!!

Ok so you want someone to nod and smile and apologize to you. Then encourage you to experience the other shows and attractions. The funniest part of this is that if you would have walked to Guest Relations to complain, by the time you got up there they would tell you the attractions had already re-opened.

Forgive me for disagreeing but to me the MK is about more than 4 rides. There is plenty to do in the MK for an hour while these rides happen to be down. If this was an all day or even a few hours of downtime I would be at City Hall as well but 1 hour? It would take a lot more than that to ruin my day...

Carl Spackler: Cinderella story. Outta nowhere. A former greenskeeper, now, about to become the Masters champion. It looks like a mirac... It's in the hole! It's in the hole! It's in the hole!

lifeguard, I feel ya.

A few years ago I took my parents to WDW for a day and after a lot of deliberation and trying to decide which of the four parks to visit, we ultimately settled on Epcot. We bought 1-day 1-park passes, and everything seemed fine. Once we got in, we noticed that Soarin', Test Track, and Mission: Space were all down at the same time. I was bummed.

Since World Showcase wasn't opening for a matter of hours, we were kind of upset and wished that we had just gone to the Magic Kingdom after all. So, we went to guest services and politely explained our situation to the CM. He was extremely helpful and gave us each a transfer ticket for the Magic Kingdom, basically telling us that the rides at Epcot would be up very soon, and that we could stick around until then and then use the new tickets to go over to the Magic Kingdom whenever we felt like it that day.

Basically, they'll be happy to accommodate you. If you don't make a fool out of yourself and can treat those folks like human beings, they're really helpful, understanding, and friendly. In our case, we basically got a free upgrade from a 1-park pass to a park hopper... for free!
