Half the MK is "down"

splash was shut down for a bit on saturday, too

I think any CM around will tell you that almost every attraction goes down for some amount of time at least once a day. In most cases they are quick downtimes where very few guests are impacted. In most cases the rides are back up so quick most people never know or hear about it.

By the way just an interesting fact to point out, last year at BTM 97% of the downtimes were Guest related. CMs understand downtimes are frustrating for everyone but a vast majority of the time they are unavoidable and have absolutely nothing to do with a maintenance issue.

Just pay a little extra for the Park Hopper ticket and if one park goes Armageddon them leave it for the day and onto the next park.

Let's make sure we are painting a clear picture for everyone who wasn't at the MK today. Everyone knew Space was going to be down, its been on the calendar for months. BTM, Splash and HM were all down for no more than 1 hour each. At one point all 3 were down at the same time for about a 30 min. time period shortly after 1:00. Considering the MK is open till 2 am with EMH tonight I would like to know what YOU would do if you were Guest Relations? Yes the timing sucks but grab a Fastpass to Thunder or Splash, go grab lunch or visit another area of the park. Come back in an hour or so and Fastpass the other other attraction. So lets all play Guest Relations for a minute... what would you do?

We're really sorry for the inconvenience...

HAVE A MAGICAL DAY! :fork:

We were in the MK that day

and it didn't take long for Splash and HM to go back up. My fiance and I were wanderin' when my boys found me to tell me the news - they of course were "devastated" that all the "good rides" weren't working. So, they putsed with us, went on Jungle Cruise, by the time we were off that the 2 previously mentioned were back up. The boys held onto their FP's and used them later that night for BTM...

Once the boys realized that there are other things to do in the MK, they got over their "upset". I don't see how Disney can be held anymore accountable for break downs - it happens at EVERY major park - ALL the time.
