Wait did they change the monorail track? Lol

Last 45 years I have been going I swear I saw it go past IASW go south and run right next to the Matterhorn and the side of the castle then hug the Matterhorn and head back to tomorrowland?

So a trolley can't run during other time periods?
do they just stop existing after the time they are built?
Something that is built in the 1920's, 1930's 1940's AND Beyond would not look out of place moving in front of newer structures. We as fans have dated the Hollywood backlot to a specific period but last time i saw there was still an animation building that looks like it was built years after some of the other buildings represented in that mismatched land.

I don't think the date of a mode of transportation has ever been an issue when it passes specific lands in A Disney park. If that was the case the we wouldn't have a steam train passing next to tomorrowland either. I'm sure that having phones lit up with people playing games and huge strollers is more out of place with the theming than a couple minutes than the trolley passes by

If the trolley were a general trolley, like the Monorail, passing through different time periods wouldn't matter. However, the Red Car Trolley is themed to a specific era.

As I said earlier, this is the least of my concerns (RCT and the new ToT).

I understand.

In a way, I feel like the GOTG Tower will further exacerbate DCA's "big elephant" problem. Because of the way the lands are situated, no matter what, they bleed into one another and destroy the illusion that you're in another world.

I blame the wide open spaces for that.. which always makes it seem like you are just heading to the next destination, rather than being somewhere already. At ground level plenty of areas don't they left the hall door open to the next (probably the airfield is the worst for this).

Most of it just feels like big highway.. that's my critique.

It wont fit in Magic kingdom , Hollywood studios will have star wars for its sci fi. It also wouldn't fit at Animal Kingdom. So now you have a section that will be themed GOTG and Disney can sell all their marvel stuff there
Actually Guardians of the Galaxy does fit in Magic Kingdom. You could put it in Tomorrowland if Tomorrowland Speedway gets demolished. Tomorrowland as land has been changed multiple since since the first time I went in the early 1990's as a teenager. If Tomorrowland was still like it was in the early 1990's, Guardians of the Galaxy wouldn't fit at all.

Since Tomorrowland has Monster's Inc. Laughing Floor, and Stitch's Greatest Escape there is no reason for Guardians of the Galaxy not fitting in Tomorrowland. Groot and pals outside of Star lord are not from Earth just like Sitch isn't from this planet either.

Hodgepodge is not a theme.

Nostalgia is a powerful drug. When Maelstrom was rumored to be taken over by Frozen, many hardcore Epcot fans were up in arms. Where were all the Maelstrom fans before these rumors started circulating? It always had a line but was at best a 3rd tier attraction. Now people are organizing vacations to experience its replacement. Ever since Disney invented the modern theme park in 1955, their parks have been a showcase for the company's properties and an opportunity for people to experience their favorite on-screen stories in an immersive themed environment. It would be a disservice to the millions of guests who love Marvel and visit Disney parks if they could not experience a Marvel land were it not for some nostalgic red tape held in place by people who frequent Disney fan forums. The old Hollywood section of DCA, including Tower of Terror, serves little function and is the only barrier to having Marvel in the notoriously cramped Disneyland resort. Cut the red tape, let it go, and if you want Tower of Terror, forget the truncated version and make the pilgrimage to Orlando.
This is more or less what I was trying to get across in my posts here, except articulated much better. I agree fully.

Such as? Feel free to DM me.
The shady corporate politics surrounding the film's production such as shutting out Reitman from being involved and threatening legal action against Bill Murray and the old castmembers to get them to make cameos. The film's tone feeling more like an SNL/Adam Sandler parody of Ghostbusters rather then an actual Ghostbusters movie. Production problems with cast-members arguing and fighting on set.

Youtube channel Midnight's Edge has done quite a few videos on the controversies surrounding Ghostbusters, but this one covers a lot of the bases.

Okay, since this comes up ALL the time, where would YOU have put Frozen? Fantasyland is out, because there was little good room left after the expansion, unless something else got removed. And nothing on the NFL side was going to be touched so soon.

Which is why Monsters sticks out like a sore thumb because it's a literal Urban Fantasy story with a contemporary setting that's been randomly slapped into this spaceport area.

Not so! Parallel dimensions and gates used to cross between them have long been a staple of science-fiction.
