That's how I feel about Avatar.
I at least made it halfway through GOTG. I didn't last 5 minutes with that movie. I saw it on regular tv but my dad went to the movies and said it sucked but the technology was amazing.

its not going down for two to three years, this is a fast makeover. its only 7 months if I read correctly, closing in January reopening in summer?

I thought this was a complete redo like Frozen. I'll still be shocked and happy if Disney could pull off anything in a little over half a year. If they're going for a fast makeover I can see them trying to open this during D23 and announcing plans for the rest of Marvel land.

We are a acaptive audience. ;)

But the public at large, would they mind? I think not, families show up at Disney's gate nowadays with the dad in a Star Wars shirt with pun that is nowhere near as hip as he thinks and even less flattering to his figure than he fears it is, a daughter in latest princess garb, and a son in superhero outfit. They will be asking what there is to do for their princess, Spiderbrat and Peter Pan-syndrome dad. Would they even understand how somebody could possibly prefer the 1930s dust covered art deco ruin over the latest flashy Marvel Universe ride?

I was recently standing in the spaces abroad the USS North Carolina, battleship museum at Wilmington NC. We'd been on board almost 4 hours already, in its hot non air-conditioned spaces. (avg tour is said to be 2 hours) Soaking it all in. A mom and dad come through with several kids, about 8-12 range, 2 boys a girl. They're being forced marched through the ship. "Mom, what's this?" "Dad, what's that?" Mom and dad can't be bothered to read any of the signs, the exhibit info, "uh, that's just ___" or "I don't know, come on, wow its hot in here" and off they went. We were passed by many people that day (and other days on other museum ships). People mindlessly climbing ladders and walking through enormous engine rooms, like they're in some race, they have no idea what they just saw, they don't care. All there are doing is just checking off some box on a list of Things to Do. The kids might have learned something, might have wanted to learn, to know. The parents only concerned with their sweat and who who knows what else.

Sorry to wander off the beaten path.

You may not want to read my next TR. I've been amassing a small collection of graphic tee's that flatter my pear shaped dad body. I'm sure they do, I know they do.

Then why did he not say "A TRON coaster is not coming to Walt Disney World" instead of "A TRON coaster is not coming to Epcot" ?

I would go crazy if they built it in Magic Kingdom, it would fit perfectly in Tomorrowland.

It was slated for the MK once, and like many WDW projects in the past 10 years, was canceled. I'm guessing Martin's wording wasn't meant to be a vague hint, but we'll wait for him to explain.
