EPCOT's Future World should be nonfiction. Save the fiction for Tomorrowland.
Ah, who could forget the true, nonfiction, stories of the Dreamfinder, or possibly the singing foods in Kitchen Cabaret, or how about the fantastical control room of Cranium Command and the literal science fiction of shrinking with a ship down into a bloodstream?

The issue here isn't 'Fiction,' it's the implementation of IP.

There's a difference between the Jules Verne/H.G Wells utopia inspired Sci-Fi of EPCOT and the modern GOTG style Sci-Fi. I personally feel that GOTG belong in Hollywood Studios.

Ok, let me clarify. EPCOT should be Nonfiction and REALISTIC Fiction. Save laser gun shooting raccoons for Tomorrowland. How's that?

The future IS fiction, right up until the moment that it actually happens.
I understand what you're saying, however make an attempt to understand what I am saying. A REALISTIC look into our future (Futureworld) is a far cry from monsters telling us jokes in an effort to contain human laughs for sustainable energy.

Frozen's ride would be great ... if it were in Fantasyland. Agreed with your post.

Personally I'm glad we're getting Rat (despite some of it's flaws that people like to list) and was really hoping we'd get the Coco overlay. Hopefully that will come eventually.

Frozen just doesn't fit. It could have. I think they think they tried but it's a Fantasyland style attraction. Which is still loud and clanky and feels as bad as it did when it was Maelstrom.

nah frozen rides problem is that it's a rehash of a low capacity attraction from the 80s with the most popular IP in recent memory plastered on it :) location is second to the crap experience.

The stage was being set up today with decor / props. Just in case you forgot. Or pushed it out of your mind with a concious effort. I do not blame you.

I’m sorry - and I am way more positive about Disney and what they have been doing with capital investment over the past few years and moving ahead than many others - but this is a horrible idea. Plain and simple.

I imagine having come out of the American Adventure show (a pinnacle of achievement by WDI in their heyday), browsed the American artifacts that are comparable to a museum-quality display, walked by the incredible Voices of Liberty...and come face-to-face with this gaudy display of forced cross promotion. I’d almost prefer a brick tossed at my face when I walk through the doors. This is an abomination of an idea that leaders like Chapek and company will lap up.

And I don’t mind Frozen Ever After, or Ratatouille, or any other IP adds that are tucked within the deeper confines of a pavilion. It draws people in which to me is fine as there are other historic and cultural displays in the pavilions. On our last trip we went on the boat ride in Mexico, but on the way out stopped to look at the Day of the Dead display. Fun with some education.

I am only contented by the fact that this is temporary as it absolutely does not belong in this pavilion.

I think this would've been a better fit for DHS.

I always appreciate more entertainment in the parks! I'm excited for this.

Still not as bad as Barbie

I understand they're doing this at Epcot because of the ride, but why in World Showcase? It ruins the atmosphere. What "country" are the Guardians from? Frozen made more sense than this, to be honest, even if it was yet another IP shoehorn.

If they really wanted to do this in Epcot, it should've at least been somewhere in Future World. Maybe in Innoventions, where nobody will have to witness it unless they want to. ;)

I'm right here with you. (I do mind Frozen to a certain degree - if it were an addition not a replacement I could give it more of a pass than I do, and I think some of the execution is bare but some of it's good - mixed for me)

I'm not for this at all. It might be fine but it's not what I want to see in the pavilion. Put it somewhere else. DHS could have used Pixar Fest, this Guardians thing, etc. I don't get it. DHS is like the forgotten park (which is ironic considering it has a massive land under construction with two e-tickets, a re-themed e-ticket and a new family friendly land opening -- and that STILL isn't enough!).

Agreed. I originally assumed this was at the Fountain stage. I wasn’t thrilled about that either, but at least it wasn’t WS. Sure there’s different music at the theater throughout the year, but at least it’s not themed to GotG.

Can’t wait until Peter Quill becomes a celebrity narrator for Candlelight!
