Oh, I did it!

Hmmm.... a different discussion, but this video demonstrates something that goes well with a discussion happening over on the Avatar forum. Not trying to shame anyone, but watch the girl on the far left. The ride uses a simple seat-belt, but you can see quite a difference in the airtime granted to her in comparison to all the others. That's fine and probably much more fun- I don't think she's in danger of slipping out of the restraints, but watch her land at about :25. I'm not sure that's entirely safe. Disney is catching some flack about not accommodating the full spectrum of body types, but here is a great visual example of how even a simple system handles them very differently. What is "tight and secure" on her seems to allow a dangerous amount of wiggle room than it does with her fellow passengers.

I'm only pointing this out as it seems to me a good example of what the engineers are up against with trying to create exciting experiences that must somehow keep safe everyone from smallish children to the wide range of adult sizes.

I wish I got that much air on the ride :(

Lol, I feel bad for the guy in the middle. The guy in the blue shirt sure seems to be squeezing and holding tight on something

I had to watch it again to see and now I'm laughing even harder.

The funny thing is that she's completely unbothered. She's like the image of the Canadian dude mowing his lawn with a huge tornado in the background that's been circulating online today. Me, on the other hand, would have been grabbing anything, including my neighbor's arm, leg, shirt or hair, in a panic fearing that I was going to be thrown to my death!

OAN, we need to talk about those horrible wig hats people are wearing in these videos. Are they for sale in the park?

The light up wigs made appearances in a bunch of those media videos, as did Guardians character glasses and at least one person dressed like a Tivan servant. I think those wigs were just costuming for the extras sent in to fill out the on-ride videos for the media people.

Though perhaps they're the next evolution of on ride 3D glasses.

They should just go back to the way ToT at MGM Studios was when it first opened and just have a lap bar going across the row instead of seat belts.
I believe they removed the lap bar for safety reasons. The lap bars would leave to much free space between some riders if they were sitting in the same row as bigger people.
