Funny, those aren't even close to being my favorite Disney attractions.

It's hard for me to name favorite attractions. Does favorite mean attractions we have the most fun on? The most impressive? For example, I have more fun on California Screamin or TOT than I do on POTC but I obviously find POTC as a bigger achievement and more impressive if you know what I mean.

For me it means most fun + can't be missed. I love Pirates and Mansion, but after doing them over and over at Disney parks around the world since the early 70s I'm suffering from Haunted Mansion and Pirates of The Caribbean fatigue.

My favorites are:
Lobster Nachos & Manhattan at the Cove Bar
Hot Pretzel & Tower 10 IPA at the Karl Strauss Beer Truck
Pu Pu Platter & Shrunken Zombie Head at Trader Sam's
Charcuterie & Cheese Board & California Cabernets Wine Flight at Alfresco Tasting Terrace
Mini Wagyu Sliders & Irish Whiskey Sour at Hearthstone Lounge

I may have a problem

I don't know if this is totally accurate with how I feel today, but looks like I made a document a couple years ago on my favourite dark rides worldwide. I just quickly inserted roughly where I'd place a few Shanghai ones. I'm sure I need to go back and fiddle with some of the choices. But yes, MM is wonderful.

Only rides that at least qualify as having a 'dark ride' element.

1. Mystic Manor
2. Pirates of the Caribbean Shanghai
3. JTTCOE
4. Forbidden Journey
5. Splash Mountain (Functional Florida version or Tokyo)
6. Radiator Springs Racers
7. Haunted Mansion
8. Indiana Jones Adventure
9. Pirates of the Caribbean Disneyland
10.Spiderman
11.Kilimanjaro Safari (I know, not a dark-ride)
12.Tower of Terror (DHS, special nod to TDS theme)
13.Sinbad’s Storybook Voyage
14.Everest (let's pretend the Yeti works)
15.Tron Coaster Shanghai
16.Gringott’s
17.Pooh’s Hunny Hunt
18.Monster’s Inc Ride and Go Seek
19.Hogwart’s Express
20.20K Leagues (TDS)
21.ET
22.Jurassic Park (Singapore)
23. Star Tours 2.0
24.Overlays (Phantom Manor/Dinosaur/Transformers)
25.Grizzly Gulch Mine Trains
26.Space Mountain (Disneyland/HKDL)
27.Big Thunder
28.Spaceship Earth
29.Great Movie Ride
30.Peter Pan Shanghai
31.Roaring Rapids
31.Jungle Cruise
32.Crushes Coaster
33.Matterhorn
34.SmallWorld (HKDL)

?Ratatouille
?Efteling or Europa Park Rides

Flawed but Fun: Monster’s Inc. DCA/Mermaid/Nemo Subs/TSMM/Mummy Coaster

Future List contenders

1. Kong
2. Pandora Rides
3. Iron Man HKDL

Wow really ? More then POTC at DL or Haunted Mansion

HM is probably my number 2, but I prefer WDW's to DL's but Hatbox makes it closer to a tie than it was before he materialized. Mystic is definitely my favorite attraction worldwide, hands down. It feels classic even though it's new, and the effects are marvelous. It's better than Hunny Hunt at TDL, which is also a great attraction. Mystic feels like a culmination of decades of work, and you can feel the love for the craft when you ride it.

While I respect POTC (and DL's is the best) it's never been my favorite. I enjoy it, but the theme doesn't really appeal to me so it wouldn't rank highly on my list. I can objectively look at it as a towering achievement, but it's just not my fave.

Of course, Mystic dethroned my previous all time favorite attraction, Heimlich's Chew Chew Train. ;)

Great list and I agree with a lot of it, except Sindbad's. It's too low on the list! I freakin' love that ride. The song! I'm singing it now!

You should have seen my jaw hit the floor the one and only time I've been on Heimlich's.:jawdrop:

Funny you say that. I was surprised too that I had ranked it so low at the time. It's an old list and I suspect one I produced for Orlando United.

I think I'd bump it up to number 10.

Speaking of Heimlichs Chew Chew Train, where in the world is Endor Sightseer? Probably breaking records in the Haunted Mansion before they go NBC.

One time? You got off easy. Must have ridden it 20 times with our girls when they were younger...around the time it opened. I used to be able to do a pretty spot on Heimlich voice which made my kids want to ride it even more. I think we actually rode it as many as 3 times in one day. Somehow, I'm still alive to talk about it : )

Have you been lucky enough to ride all of those on your list? Surprised that Knott's Calico Mine Ride and Log Ride didn't make the cut. Both would be on my list...though my list would be much shorter as I've not experienced much of what's on your list. Pirates in DL would top mine.
