For me it means most fun + can't be missed. I love Pirates and Mansion, but after doing them over and over at Disney parks around the world since the early 70s I'm suffering from Haunted Mansion and Pirates of The Caribbean fatigue.

So if we re going fun/ can't be missed mine are...in no particular order (DCA included)

1. Splash Mountain
2. TOT
3. Space Mountain

I find myself always riding these 3 attractions or at least trying to. Then it could be any variation of the following. BTMR, Matterhorn, POTC, HM, a sampling of the FL dark rides (except Peter Pan) , Screamin, TSMM, Soarin.

Oddly enough, I rarely have the urge to ride Indy or Star Tours and no, nothing to do with the fact they re IP's. I guess after riding many times I don't find the experience to be worth the wait on these two and I would rather use an FP on one of my Top 3 above.

I don't wait for RSR w/o an FP and I'm rarely there early enough to get one. And GRR is only usually on really hot days.

Would you all believe I've never ridden on California Screamin?

And it has nothing to do with fear, it just hasn't worked out. I don't like riding alone, and my kids were too little for a while. They've been big enough on our last two trips, but it just never happened. I guess since I don't think of it as an essential part of our trip, I don't go out of my way to ride it.

I LOVE that ride, especially the music.

Have you been lucky enough to ride all of those on your list? Surprised that Knott's Calico Mine Ride and Log Ride didn't make the cut. Both would be on my list...though my list would be much shorter as I've not experienced much of what's on your list. Pirates in DL would top mine.

Yes, I've not been to Knotts though. I do eventually want to get to a few of the unique European locations (Europa/Efteling), Dubai parks have some interesting entries too depending on how well that comes together.

Perhaps I need to make time for Knotts. I'm not actually a local so I've never carved out time for it.

Overlays were the worst thing ever to happen to Disney attractions. It was when Disney realized they could just basically redress something, usually with marketable characters. Sadly, it's mostly been at the expense of a lot of classic attractions, even those that would be considered sacred.

It's obviously been happening for a long time, but now it's effecting E tickets.

The impact on E tickets isn't new. Remember when Alien Encounter switched to Stitch? There's also been several Pirates of the Caribbean updates to align with the films. And don't forget The Submarine Voyage getting its Nemo storyline.

I actually think Pirates works pretty well. The others, well yeah, they kinda suck.

Efteling is a great park. There are a lot of similarities with Disney in terms of design with a decidedly smaller budget of course. I'm going to try and get back there if I go to DLP during their 25th. I hope to get to Europa in the next few years too.
