In case some of you on the Disneyland thread didn't know, this picture was taken at Comic Con where GOTG Mission Breakout was announced. You see that GOTG banner hanging there? That looks a lot like an elevator door in a certain building we know of.

It's next to the "Like +Quote Reply" links on the right hand side of a post. Your post was #580.

Oh thanks I see, I'm always on my mobile when on this site and to see the post #, you have to turn the phone horizontally.

On another note, someone must of deleted a post because it is not who I was thinking. Unless you meant who #566 was replying to?

Overlays were the worst thing ever to happen to Disney attractions. It was when Disney realized they could just basically redress something, usually with marketable characters. Sadly, it's mostly been at the expense of a lot of classic attractions, even those that would be considered sacred.

Endor Sightseer, is that you?

What's so cool about a trackless ride vehicle? They have that at an amusement park not too far from where we live, and that place, while cool and magical in it's own way, is far from cutting edge.

Have they dusted in there recently? I was there 10 years ago w/ my cub scout pack, and it looked like it hadn't been touched since I was a kids...LOL!

I remember the haunted house being super creepy as well. I vaguely remember them putting actors inside that would be sitting in a chair that would stand up when you had your back to them. Luckily it was my mom that caught the brunt of that, but I was slightly tramatized watching the whole thing go down. :arghh:

The whole place has this perfect dichotomy of being completely crappy, but at the same time wonderful.

It's really odd.

They have a Storybook Forest section. The dolls/animatronics are the stuff of nightmares, but when you put it all together, it someone is quaint and charming and hilarious all at the same time.

Some of the animatronic people can literally alter your wellbeing they are so creepy. I'm going to have to post a couple pics. LOL

Sounds like you're in Oregon as well? Enchanted Forest is an interesting place to go, though we've taken the kids more often to WDW than there. Still, there's some nostalgia and it's interesting to see the history of the place play out in the succession of attractions they've added over the years.

Yup, we're in Oregon. :)

Enchanted Forest needs more attractions. As it is right now, there are three main rides for adults, plus bumper cars and the Haunted House, and that's it. Not a lot to fill a day.

I really like the charm of the first section, the Storybook part of it... and then each add-on seems to have been done with less care and more just 'get it done' approach. Even though my daughter's 21, she still prefers the Storybook part and would rather go to Oaks Park, the State Fair, or other places for the thrill rides.

This thing is the biggest joke in years. I bet Joe Rohde is forced to create this ugly piece of ****. I recall that he was the man who told us that Imagineering starts with a story before choosing a ride system. And the location it doesn't make any sense.

Do you think TDA is reading the negative response of the Disney Park community. The only place with a positive reactions was The Disney Parks Blog.... which is moderated by .... Disney

Well since the Disney community has a negative response whenever something is added to the park….or taken out of the park…or there are discussions about additions or subtractions…or anything, really, I would guess Disney doesn’t take much notice.

Thats the point I will never understand. You have the amazing tool called the internet where they have seen the negative response why do they move on?

My guess--and I base this on my impression of things, which may be totally wrong--is people who post on web pages and message boards are a pretty small fraction of people heading into the parks. There may be a lot of negative chatter but it isn't broadly based.
