1.) How is the queue themed (I guess loading area)?

2.) How are the projection effects does it really feel like space?

3.) How intense is the launch? We have been getting a ton of conflicting reports.

4.) What song did you get?

5.) How is the story on the ride? Any details/cool effects)

6.) Drops?

7.) Omni-coaster roatation?

EDIT:

8.) Is their a countdown on the launch?

EDIT #2:

Sorry for all the questions.
1.) I thought the load area was super cool, felt like a big cargo ship. Lots of ship sounds and the like. So I have high hopes for the rest of the queue.

2.) Projection effects vary, some of them are really awesome and seamless. The really big imax screen in the gravity building is sick. The first screen however before launch was a lil bit worrying and I hope they darken up that room before it opens cause as it is, it is very obviously a screen.

3.) Launch wise I’d say a lil bit more extreme then Slinky dog. Not quite as layed back but it’s not even close to RnRC.

4.) I Ran So Far Away. I was hoping for that or Tears for Fear so I was super happy. Went really well.

5.) Couldn’t parse much of the story without the pre show and context. But it’s pretty run of the mill guardians stuff. Big guy evil stop him in ship while making quips. Fun for what it is, nothing revolutionary. The first big screen in the coaster box is a really cool effect.

6.) Sorta like Space mountain in drops. Nothing like a free fall or anything.

7.) Rotation was cool. Blends into the attraction and really enhances the spirals. Doesn’t draw attention to itself.

8.) No countdown

How effective are the scenes? Like we know they are videos but do they feel engaging and immersive (for lack of a better word) like you are within a scene or does it feel like you are sitting there watching a movie?
They really do vary. I think the first scene pre launch need some real work. Bad first impression for me on that. But after that once you get into the post launch building they get way better. The reveal of the imax screen in the gravity building in combo with the reveal of the general size of the space was a cool moment. Doesn’t feel like you’re watching a movie because you never really stop moving.

Nice! I know some other people have mentioned the UoE / big bang reference but nobody has really clarified if it's a plot device or not. Is it just a throwaway line of dialogue or is the big bang actually part of the launch?
It might be expanded on in the pre show but for me felt like just a little line. I think as you progress in the ride it’s supposed to be like you’re seeing the formation of the Milky Way and the moon and earth. But I couldn’t parse much of it tbh.

Overall thoughts, it’s a lot of fun. Don’t expect Rise, it’s a high quality thrill ride. Don’t expect crazy show scenes
As a self-described ride wimp who's managed to do BTMRR, SDMT, Matterhorn, Splash, and Space Mountain (Disneyland) though not yet Incredicoaster, Expedition, or RNRR....how will I manage here?

That’s a toughie. I’d say that ride tolerance is different for everyone so I can only speak for myself. I’d say if you can do Disneyland Space Mountain you could do this. It might be a little bit more extreme but not anything like RnRC or Incredicoaster. Prob a bit less thrilling then Everest

Wondering if part of the massive budget was new tech that will be used on future attractions. Test track was an overpriced, technical disaster of a ride for a long time. However test track allowed Journey to the center of the earth and RsR to exist.
I can easily see this becoming the E-Ticket ride for the Avenger lands. Not saying an exact clone of this ride (which I hope they wouldn't do) but definitely using this attraction's ride system and just have the Avengers IP in it

This is a great point. They would've pocketed the money anyway.
I don’t believe they spent it in the first place.

My guess is they spent $100-150 million but are claiming $400 million so they can have the “appearance” of bigger investment in the parks and move theoretical money on the books at the same time.

Gotta claim the executive salaries and other non revenue generating expenses on the books somewhere, accounting tricks and marketing tricks make it look like they spent money in one place but the reality is a lot of that money never came near this project.

I worked beverage management for a while in a casino (major revenue generator) and it was amazing how many expenses got attributed to our department that had nothing to do with us, just corporate accounting at work.

This brings up something else I was wondering… is the ride funny? I think a huge selling point for Mission Breakout is that they captured the irreverent humor from the GotG films. Do we get that here at all? Sounds like maybe pre launch and at the finale?

I thought it was funny. They lampshade the “you guys are part of the *blank* now” trope. Like you being a hero of the resistance in Rise. Quill says “Welcome to the Guardians of the Galaxy” and Drax says “why are you lying to the earth people” or smth to that effect. It’s not a belly laugher or anything but it captures the spirit well in my opinion.

If we ignore for just one moment those who object to specific things such as the colour of the bad guy or how many references to Epcot there are (valid as those points are to those individuals), was the general consensus that this will be an exciting and fun ride for the vast majority of guests? In other words if an average guest with no preconceived ideas of what they hope it's not goes in, do you think they'll ride and come out satisfied that they had a great time and feel it's a great addition to the park?

If you paid $50 for a McDonald's burger, even if you liked it, would that not bother you?
But in this case we aren’t paying the price directly.

A better example would be McDonalds paying $10 for a pound of beef rather than $5, our cost for a burger will be $3.20 instead of $3… the cost is passed indirectly onto us but most people won’t notice any difference in quality because of the .20 increase.

If Epcot had to increase ticket prices 1000% (to $1500) to pay for this it would matter, the reality is prices will go up the same amount regardless of what Guardians cost.
