It’s some of bothThis wall is weird to me. Is it a screen or mesh? If it's just a painted wood wall...why can I see through it?
I don't think it was horrible. But with the changing nature of the information presented and the fact it relied so heavily on celebrities I'd argue that it had a shelf life of about 10 years. We should've been saying "bye-bye" to this version of the attraction in 2005-2006 when vestiges of the 1990s were still somewhat common. You can see why they got rid of Ellen's ride, it was horrible. But I would have loved to have seen something that fits Epcot more than Guardians. Like, Wall-E.
Disney Parks Blog wrote thisCan someone point me to where the "planetary origin" story is originating from? I have heard people talking about it, but I didn't recall picking up on anything like that from the narration at the Epcot Experience show. It sounded more like Alien Encounter where a fictitious alien race is hosting a World Showcase-like pavilion. And Rocket comes in.
While it's a bit of a stretch, I can see how a story about how our planetary system came to be could fit into Epcot's overall story. And where Rocket says, "That's boring - let me take you there." But, I didn't get that from what I remembered hearing.

"At Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind the adventure will start in the “Galaxarium,” a planetarium-like exhibition that explores the similarities and mysteries of the formation of Earth’s galaxy and Xandar. You’ll be invited to learn more about Xandar’s treasures – until the moment when the Guardians of the Galaxy arrive, and adventures across the cosmos ensue. "
Plus the new info blogmickey just posted that specifically mentions the Big BangAh - ok. So people are maybe reading a bit into that. It seems like it's more a traditional TL story, but - again - we'll see.
Just saw this. Nice to see the potential for a bit of edutainment embedded, or at least an homage to a portion of the prior ride.
The piggy bank?The Ding Dang?
Best part of the ride! The piggy bank?

If they go back to the Big Bang, then it could be a lesson in energy, like the Big Bang segment in Ellen's.
