No. The original concept art had a larger fin at the bottom, but later artwork had a smaller one at the back.EDIT: Doesn’t the starblaster itself have one final “wing” that goes down the middle?

Theming isn’t ornament. Many of the images already shared are simple but are much more themed because they fit the aesthetic of a sleek jet. That does look better, if not much more highly themed that a support post for a plane you'd see anywhere else.
So then what are they putting down the split thing in the middle? Surely their is some other piece that goes there.No. The original concept art had a larger fin at the bottom, but later artwork had a smaller one at the back.
It looks like it's perhaps a strip of LED lighting in the new concept? Hard to say because we only got a blurry shot of the art in a social media post.So then what are they putting down the split thing in the middle? Surely their is some other piece that goes there.
It was always going to be a chunky column once covered. Think it will work better from angles than others.Sorry but this looks quite awful. The covered column is no completely blocking the bottom fin. Epic Fail on what could have been awesome.
Using material like the pillars in the new Epcot entrance fountain might've been less clunky visually, but I don't know if that stuff could handle the weight of the ship.It was always going to be a chunky column once covered. Think it will work better from angles than others.
Yes, that is definitely not what I pictured in my head. That is strange, I guess we will see what it looks like in the end, but I pictured it like a sun.I believe you're thinking of the one that's being blocked by the support post.
Possibly again, not what I pictured it can look good in practice. It looks like it's perhaps a strip of LED lighting in the new concept? Hard to say because we only got a blurry shot of the art in a social media post.
No doubt, but they went from chunky to super chunky. It was always going to be a chunky column once covered. Think it will work better from angles than others.
Now you are just being contrary to be contrary. The ride will be open this Summer. The lines will be hours long and I am sure you willI don't know how they did it, but they managed to make a bad thing look worse.
Im a user’End of Line was a Tron reference just so you understand.
I think that will be closed up later. Another view shows the left hand side is currently offset compared to the right side, possibly to finish electrical work.So then what are they putting down the split thing in the middle? Surely their is some other piece that goes there.
This post shows how little you know me. I will walk past it without giving it a second thought. (If I ever go WDW again, but that is another topic)Now you are just being contrary to be contrary. The ride will be open this Summer. The lines will be hours long and I am sure you will
still be complaining about decoration out front.
I'm surprised by how poorly designed this was. The support column is too large and throws off the proportions for the ship itself, and it completely blocks the bottom fin. What was the point of even building the bottom fin when you can't see it unless you're directly behind the ship?
I honestly think it looked better when it was uncovered. At least you could see the bottom fin through it.
I don’t think this looks worse, but from some angles, it’s not especially better. It looks decent from the side, especially now that the base flares out and the bolts are covered, but from dead on, it looks very plain and too wide. I do hope that however they mask the ship’s connections to the girder end up making a bit more sense of why the platform is wider than the ship itself, but it’s probably always going to be too bulky from the front.
Thankfully, the front view isn’t complete.Maybe in the attraction itself they show pilots climbing up the inside of these structures to board the ships. (In a video).
While I don't particularly think it looks good...I'll hold out complete judgment until after the attraction opens.
I agree though, the side view isn't bad...the front view is awful.
