The whole universe of engergy showbuilding is being used as the queue and load area. This better be a very immersive queue.

It's a roller coaster in a park that doesn't have a roller coaster. It could be an IP based on the wonders of manure and it will have a 2 hour queue. So, they'll need a very long queue. Even if it's not immersive (though, I have no doubt that it will be, that's what they do now for new E-Ticket rides), at least it will be a two hour line in air conditioning.

Weird, they aren't walling off the exits yet? I wonder if this is just for work on the old water feature, including the front wedge. There's a gate in the construction wall to the far left, presumably for demolition/construction. Shame they're a blah grey.

At least the walls went up all at once.

I like it fine, but it is a departure in execution from how the EPCOT Center pavilions were conceived (which it was never meant to be a part of as it was born into Epcot.) While at the park just recently, I tried to imagine how this would have fit (photo from retrowdw):

Difficult to imagine.

oh my god...that looks amazing.

I have a really hard time believing that. Something this ugly can only get worse in person.

It's not bad up close, the problem isn't that... its when you see it from inside Carsland, by paradise pier, walking through the Hollywood section of the park.. you even see it in parts of Disneyland. How do you hide a building that tall? You can't. They took TOT that at least blended into its surroundings to making it look shiny, gaudy and bright so it stands out now. Ugh.. bottom line. The building is ugly, the ride is GREAT.

The exterior is the worst kind of eye sore. When I first saw it last week, I described it as "Not lipstick on a pig, but a pig on lipstick." It's tacky. It's ugly as all hell.

However, the ride is shockingly one of the best pieces of storytelling Disney has done in a very long time - a fact that honestly makes me angry. And Monsters After Dark, being the story sequel, just makes it even more solidly compelling.

It's an awesome attraction - and one of the best at the Disneyland Resort, but anyone who sits here and says the building looks good from the outside either has no design standards or is simply a blind brand loyalist.

I would describe it was perchloric acid on a supermodel.
