i don't know where you are from but theres a place near where i live in Yorkshire (England) called Magna... I could imagine something similar at epcot... an interactive cutting edge fun learning experience for kids.
You're from over t'hills?

MaybeMmmm...it has a budget but I don't know of a specific date yet. 2019 maybe. Just a guess though. Given the scope of work planned by 2021.
@marni1971 It seems like the thread has (not surprisingly) turned into a debate about whether GotG should be in Epcot or not (it shouldn't) and a "death of EPCOT Center" thread. I know that nobody cares for the park as much as you, and you haven't really seemed to express the doom and gloom of Epcot like others have, and it seems like you know the most. What I'm getting at is where do you stand on all of the proposed changes? Based on what you know, what type of Epcot are we getting? Thumbs up, thumbs down, or a meh?
Will the name Future World stick around? It won't be EPCOT Center. Never will be. Thankfully nor will it be Epcot.
If everything comes to fruition I'd think it's somewhere between meh and thumbs upwards.
I'd say we are. I'd say we're into tweaking.

The Franklin Institute..... not some science museum.
And the exhibit was fantastic.
Gran Fiesta Tour was based on the Three Caballeros, a movie that was intended as goodwill towards Mexico during WWII and actually educated audiences on a bit of the culture. Again, I can see how execution may be an issue, but it, like Nemo, is definitely one of the few examples of when the IP actually fits its existing placement.First is Nemo. Second is Gran Fiesta Tour. Third is FEA. Fourth is GotG.
The op was from England so I didn't bother with the full name of a museum he probably didn't know. I am personally a huge fan of the FI.
You do know the anti-semitism was just an urban legend, right? He treated the Sherman Brothers, who were jewish, like his own sons. And I am still very disappointed in Walt's smoking habit and anti-semitism.
Totally agree with your statement. I think the vast majority of people have never seen the film so they don't have a full understanding that Panchito and Jose are teaching Donald about some aspects of Latin American culture (even rare birds haha). The execution was horribly done because it's way to kiddie and cartoony but the placement was spot on. Disney could work in GotG very well but given their recent track record, I doubt it. I'd like to stay positive and hope that it will in some way, shape, or form pay homage to the original spirit of Epcot.Gran Fiesta Tour was based on the Three Caballeros, a movie that was intended as goodwill towards Mexico during WWII and actually educated audiences on a bit of the culture. If Disney executives weren't creatively bankrupt, then why would they even float around the idea in the first place? Anyone with a brain would know for a fact that this idea would get crushed by the fans. The only idea that wouldn't would be a whole new ride at DHS that isn't sacrificing ToT. We shouldn't have to tell Disney at this point where and how to place things. There's no good reason for them to be so clueless.
Ha, just on the completely wrong side of the continent (or the wrong continent completely).Morocco is the same as Saudi Arabia, isn't it?

Thanks for backing me up. As far as execution goes, I don't think its terrible, but it could've been a lot better if they altered more of the existing El Rio del Tiempo. On the plus side, I think the MMR animatronics that were installed in the finale scene about 6 months back enhance the experience greatly. As far as GotG goes, I don't see how they can tie that into Epcot at all. Judging by how FEA went, the execution may be fantastic, but much like yourself, I dout it will work cohesively and coherently with what Epcot is, was, and should be.Totally agree with your statement. Very touchy over a lie that inspired many jokes...Not sure if you're being sarcastic...but dude, no.
During a press conference for the recent PBS Walt Disney biography, a reporter asked the show's producers if the subject of Walt's anti-Semitism would be addressed. And the producers answered: No, because during their research, they couldn't find any trace of it.
Because he wasn't.
He wasn't an anti-Semite. Please don't casually perpetuate the lie that has inspired far too many "jokes" on Family Guy.
Now, Walt did smoke like a chimney, and that's what killed him. So you're 1 for 2. Moving on...
