Pretty much if you start it in the right place and the ride doesn't stop.
And if it's an actual "recording"
Here's the Jeremy Irons audio put over the current Spaceship Earth attraction on a 360 degree video.

"Back to Neverland" is the better of the two Cronkite appearances in the parks IMHO.Indeed it was a big letdown when Walter Cronkite was replaced by that Irons bloke but it helped bring a more international flavor to Epcot.

Apparently it's hip for the kids.
When I read this, I imagined a fat, balding Disney exec in an ill-fitting suit trying to do an extremely poor rendition of a hip-hop dance routine and throwing his back out.
No, I mean a trend where the queue has show scenes 1-5 and the ride only has 6-9.You mean a trend that started with Haunted Mansion? Heck, wouldn't the Flight to the Moon pre-show count as well?
Once the storytelling starts, I'm happy to stand in line.
To be fair, when you adjust for inflation, it ranks 13th.Ellen starred in Finding Dory for Disney this year, the highest grossing film domestically in 2016 so far, and the highest grossing animated film domestically of all time.

There's nothing wrong with an elaborate queue - quite the opposite - but there's a difference between preshow and mainshow.
So Disney is copying Universal. So shocking. It's a slightly worrying trend where Flights of Passage, Alcatraz and now this have queue area after queue area - albeit well themed - trying to pass as part of the ride.
Currently five... seven if you include World ShowPlace and the space near International Gateway.how many areas are empty in Epcot right now? I know some were transformed into M&G's
Would FP+ cause people to skip those show scenes? No, I mean a trend where the queue has show scenes 1-5 and the ride only has 6-9.

In some cases yes. A very basic example is FP missing out Mr Potato Head in TSMM.Would FP+ cause people to skip those show scenes?
There must be some nuance you know about the project that isn't coming across. Wouldn't it be ideal for showscenes to start after one step into the queue?.
I hope in they move Mr Potato Head outside of the entrance in TSL, like he is in DCA.In some cases yes. A very basic example is FP missing out Mr Potato Head in TSMM.
Yes, and they do. Preshow one. Preshow two. Preshow three. Then load. Then show scene one. Show scene two.
But now it's just show scene 1-10, and for example the ride only having 6-10. Put another way shorter rides since the queue is now considered part of the ride. Part of the experience? Yes. Absolutely. See IJ, FJ, Star Tours. Part of the ride? No.
What rides currently make you feel this way?No, I mean a trend where the queue has show scenes 1-5 and the ride only has 6-9.
