Did you ever read his comic about Jesus?
I am scared.. is it really that bad?
or does it feature Rambo Jesus?
There was this hilarious comic about deities involving Anubis and the furry community, its disturbingly funny but also completely inappropriate for this forum.

On the day of the Crucifixion, the Greek Gods show up to mock Jesus. Our Lord and Savior then proceeds to pull himself off of the cross so he can wrestle them.

I'll never forget being in junior high 30 years ago, and meeting some kid who had gotten back from WDW. I was so excited to talk to him about my favorite stuff at the time, Epcot Center. "Escot Center!" he said, "That was the stupidest most boring rollercoaster I've ever been on. Just slowly going in a circle up to the top, and then slowly backwards to the bottom. I hated Escot Center."

There were... just... SO many things wrong about everything he said. I flipped out at him. Which didn't help what meager popularity I had at the time.

Deep down, however, I did know he had a smidgen of a point. When I had gone to Epcot, I loved SSE, loved Imagination, Energy, Horizons (oh, HORIZONS!) but I had wished there had been a roller coaster somewhere in the mix. Not a crazy one, just your typical MK level of thrill and theme.
Are you sure he wanst pulling the "I am popular therefore will use dumb hate to make myself look hip and cool"(tm) maneuver?

Good call.

Perhaps I should have said a coaster shouldn't be replacing something that could be awe inspiring again.

Like DHS, it should be something new in addition to the current facilities. Not a replacement. For those who want their 2 minute 38 seconds of thrill.
Was the coaster proposal for GOTG in this pavilion the one you said may be quite immersive? I recall you saying something about this energy pavilion project being very big or something like that but were you talking about the coaster or an earlier proposal?

The proposed attraction up to the coaster. I don't have much idea of the actual ride visuals. The up-to-the-coaster section is still evolving too. Sadly it seems to have lost its inbuilt secondary attraction in favour of more queue.

It's a slightly worrying trend where Flights of Passage, Alcatraz and now this have queue area after queue area - albeit well themed - trying to pass as part of the ride.

Welp, now I see why I never bothered to post here.

Shame on all of us people with different perspectives.

Rock on nerds.

define "cheap" lol.
Oh I am sure it will be expensive...it will cost more than building a 5 star hotel, but in the end, it will be a re-dressed off the rack carnival "Whip" ride...with a Baymax Meet And Greet...and everyone will gush about how it was just what we needed... and the real attraction that which might have been ground-breaking, immersive and amazing will never see the light of day... after seeing that artwork I just lose any faith that they will pull off anything great again...

That would be more palatable and reasonable if these rides didn't automatically get FP+ -- which puts people in the bind of either getting the FP and getting on quicker but missing the queue or riding standby and enjoying the queue and build up but being slowed considerably.

A great themed queue is awesome to build up to the ride but works best on something without FP.

Personally as long as the ride is as good or better than the queue (I'm looking at a certain NFL attraction) and the attraction is of decent length then the queue just adds to the overall experience. But I would agree the fact that they believe the attraction and queue are equal is not good, the queue should set the stage and provide a build up to the actual attraction not be "scene one". Interesting note about the kind of second attraction, I believe you mentioned some kind of show too not sure of that was part of the queue or something else.

Sounds like how Universal has been building their queues and I think it works pretty well as long as the ride at the end is worth it. Let's also not forget Indiana Jones at Disneyland. I love that queue :inlove:

There really is no indication that the ride is going anywhere else but Tokyo. Just a bit of harmless sarcasm.

I agree I think attractions need great queues, but the ride has to be stunning too. Escape From Gringotts was a good ride, but to be honest the queue felt better than the actual ride. The Little Mermaid is pretty bad, but the queue is incredible. They should both be stunning, with the ride always being better.
