Figaro Fries and the French Toast Loaf from Main Street Bakery.

I don't know if there is a real answer to this, but what, in some of your opinions, would drive the decision to take some of these very popular and unique items off a menu? Cost, complexity or something else....

Somtimes it is because of food cost, other times because of product availability, other times for health reasons (like to tollhouse cookie ice cream sandwitch), other times I have no idea.

Figaro Fries are fries - they still offer plain fries - with bacon bits, cheese sauce, lettuce, tomato and ranch dressing. Hardly unique condiments.

In the case of Figaro fries I have to wonder if is was simply a case of popularity. I rarely say anyone other than myself ordering them and when I did they wanted them without lettuce and tomatoes.

Ooooh...I used to totally crack out on the Tollhouse ice cream sandwiches. :slurp: I know they're bad & since realizing the calorie count haven't touched 'em. I've resolved myself that they'll just have to live on as another piece of my list of yummy things that I'll gorge myself with completely guilt-free when I get to heaven.

Maybe, but I know there are some quite vocal "Figaro Fans" out there.

The Tollhouse Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich is no longer offered. Not because of calories, but because it could not (or maybe would not) be made trans-fat free.

1) Honey Butter that was served at the Hoop De-Do Review
2) Two Freshwater Australian Lobsters that was served at the coral Reef
3) Snow crab legs that was served at Captain Jacks, along with Lobster
4) Strawberries and cream served at boatwrights for breakfast, along with the Bakery bucket and stuffed French toast.

The served the strawberries and cream at the Grand Floridian Cafe also. Boy they were good.

This is just conjecture, but maybe Nestle gave in and reformulated and Disney is testing them at a few resorts before they roll them back out.

I have no idea if this is in anyway the case, but it makes sense.

If anyone is in Orlando and can go check the packages and see the nutritional information that would be the first clue to developing a better theory.
