There are so many!

Figaro fries :slurp:

strawberry swirl

the grilled chicken sandwich and cajun fries at Dixie Landings

baked potatoes in the land

Frozen drinks in the land with little plastic monkies hanging off the glass- the Jiminy Cricket flavor specifically

Although not an actual food item I miss the plastic glasses with the Mickey balloons and castle on them that you got with milkshakes and ice cream in the Magic Kingdom

Columbia Harbor House's old steak fries. Now they're just the same fries you can get anywhere else at WDW. Good, but not the same.

Alfredo's, all of it!

Even though I loooove Tusker House's buffet, I really miss getting good counterservice there. Nowhere in AK has filled in the gap for me. I loved the big potato wedges and rice especially!

The 1/2 fried chicken dinner at The Tuskerhouse before it became a character meal place.
The crusty coating on the chicken was outstanding!

 Holy schnikes by the way, that looks... delicious.

Another one that comes to my mind is the Original Strawberry ice cream bar that had the creme like coating on the outside of it. Those were really good!

The orginal Strawberry bars were actually like they are now. I remember getting them on my first few trips to Disney as a child and then getting really angry when they started putting that coating on them. I personally couldn't stand it. To each his own! :)

For me, its a place and not a particular food. A LONG time ago, when the only resorts available were The Polynesian Village and The Contemporary, our family would stay at the Poly and our favorite place was The Barefoot Snack Bar. They had the best cheeseburgers. Very nice memories of that place and our family trips.

"Monte Cristo" Sandwich w/ honey from MK

Is this what I think it is? A ham and cheese sandwich, deep fried? Wasn't it sold somewhere in Adventureland?

OMG! I had completely forgotten about that sandwich. That was good! Of course, I am pretty certain it was one of WDWs least healthy food items of all time because it was probably fried in lard, but still - YUM!

Molasses-encrusted T-bone from Tony's (late 90's). The coating seared onto the outer side of the meat and held all the juices in - best steak I ever had in Orlando.

I miss Trans-Fat. I mean seriously, what is going on today. Why can't I have trans-fat. Don't give me that healthy nonsense either, because last time I checked cigarettes and cigars were still legal.

I don't miss Trans-fat one bit and isn't illegal (though it probably should be). I know you didn't want to hear any healthy "non sense" but here it is anyway:

"consumption of food containing trans-fat has unequivocally been shown to increase the risk of heart disease by raising levels of LDL (bad cholesterol), and lowering levels of HDL (good cholesterol)."

Its an unnecessary food additive that has no nutritional value and is bad for our health. There's no reason for it to be in foods at WDW or anywhere else.

Noted. But, consider the following:

Skydiving, bungee jumping, cliff diving.

What do they have in common with trans-fat, pseudoephedrine, tobacco, alcohol? Choice.

Also, never said it was illegal, but actually, several states and cities around the US have banned restaurants from using trans-fat. I'm not a lawyer, but when you ban something, you might as well say it's illegal.

Cherry Coke from the refillable drink machines in the food courts (I don't know if it's gone from all food courts but they haven't had it the last two trips to ASMusic)!

Nothing like a watered-down Cherry Coke after a long day in the parks! :(

There was also this fish cake on the appetizer menu at Coral Reef (I don't remember the name of it). The last time I had it was back in '07... I haven't seen it since. It was amazing... I could have made a meal just out of that appetizer!

The salmon from Mama Melrose's!

Speaking of the Figaro Fries... I've heard you can still ask for the ingredients and they will give it to you. Don't know if it's true... but that's what I've heard!?!
