Gone But Not Forgotten Food Items!

The food item I miss most is the handwich which was served at Sunshine Seasons in The Land. I especially enjoyed the chicken salad and the roast beef with melted cheddar cheese.

It's making me hungry just thinking about them. Hmmmmm. I think I hate this thread all of a sudden!

Old Columbia Harbour House, with the bread bowl soups and chicken strips.

*sigh*

Never had this either...

However, a good toppings bar would solve that with a normal order... :zipit:

Forgot about the bread bowls. I used to eat them, and now I miss them.

I was under the impression that if you asked, they would still make you Figrao Fries.

I really do not remember the name of the restaurant or the name of the item but when I was young, as you entered Adventureland, on the right hand side, by the river, was a restaurant. They had the best burgers with pineapples and an awesome sauce. Can't remember the name but boy, were those good.

Rutabagas at Akershus, Norway, EPCOT.
It's hard to find good rutabagas these days.

At Port Orleans French Quarter they have Rue de Bagas but it's not the same thing.

Beaver Tails from Canada and the Twinkie Tiramisu from Pop Century were two of the best desserts on property, I sure do miss them:cry:

Spring of 1996 and Fall of 1997, I stayed at Port Orleans Riverside when it was still Dixie Landings. Boatwrights had this amazing, wonderfully spicy (though not Cajun, per se) fried chicken. Hands down, the tastiest fried chicken I ever had in my life. If a conversation ever came around to fried chicken OR Walt Disney World, I always brought it up and then wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it (I'm getting hungry just thinking about it now).

After a long sabbatical from going to WDW. I went back with my Slappette. We were staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge but I asked, if she wouldn't mind, we get our first lunch that afternoon at Boatwrights. She agreed, cuz she rocks like ham hocks. But they made the switch to the same bland boneless chicken tenders you could get pretty much everywhere else at WDW by that point. Disappointing to say the least. We're talking Phantom Menace level disappointing.
